Lottie's Trip To Bohol [Day 1]

So I actually went on a trip to Bohol. It takes around 1 1/2 hours to get there by plane from Manila, and I thought to bring along Lottie with me again.

Our flight from Manila was in the morning, around 6:30 am, and it was pretty exhausting going to the airport because of the rush, but we made it there, so that's cool.

We arrived safely at Tagbilaran airport.

"Goodbye, airplane!!"

Going to Panglao island, we have to pass by this man-made mahogany forest. It's pretty cool!!

We just had to stop by and check out the forest a bit on foot.

We went to the Bohol Tarsier Sanctuary and saw a number of tiny tarsiers perched on tree branches. By this time, my phone battery went low, so I couldn't take photos of Lottie looking at tarsiers.

But my sister's phone was still running, so I took these. Tarsiers are really small. I think the palm of my hand is much bigger than them. Also I was told by an attendant that a baby tarsier is as big as the upper half of my thumb. Crazy!

We went to Zoocolate Thrills and it felt a bit empty. Still, we found a playground of some sort, and Lottie went to the slide for a photo, lol.

How many hours will it take Lottie to climb up these stairs? LOL.

We also saw this non-functioning truck, and I wonder if its purpose was only decorative.

Yeah, Maja looks agitated.

Afterwards we dined at the floating restaurant that cruises along the Loboc river.

Food is all right, not the greatest, but we're really paying for the experience of dining on a boat anyway.

I bought Lottie another guitar. The one she got in Palawan is a pink one, so I got her a yellow one.

Toffee the dog didn't come with us. I left him behind most of the time, aww.

Oh, and these are edible worms! They're quite crunchy.

/We also dropped by the viewing deck of Chocolate Hills and the blood compact site, but I didn't take doll photos there.

A Package from Brini

I finally received the package that Sabrina from Brini's Doll Domain sent me! It took a long while, but it's here and that's what matters!! Whew!!

I forgot to film my reaction as I opened the package, but I was just screaming anyway. What's interesting about that? lol

If you can't watch the video, then let me tell you what I received: the Emerald Check doll from the 2016 Barbie Fashionistas line, and a Barbie fashion pack made up of a dress, a sleeveless top, a pair of pants, pink boots, and a backpack! I love it!! Pretty sure we'll never get the fashion pack here in the Philippines at all.

Here's Asha wearing the new dress from the fashion pack, and welcoming my new doll, Emerald, named like so for obvious reasons.

I like that Asha and Emerald have their hair up like this. It looks neat.

Thanks again, Brini!!! I'm very grateful. Oh and it's Barbie's birthday tomorrow! Hey!!

I'll post more frequently soon! I just got really busy and demotivated but I've hung on and I think I'll be just fine. I'll be having a vacation soon, so I'm excited to bring Lottie and a few other dolls for an outdoor shoot!! Hope my phone does not get wet anymore, lol.

Saving Red Ranger

I found another articulated Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Red Ranger figure, and it pleases me. He was missing a right arm and his left knee was busted, but I knew I could fix him.

I had an extra arm that kind of matched Red Ranger's other arm. So I painted it white. It took a while because the paint resists the plastic a bit, and it looks like a bad paint job because of the streaks, but it's OK. 

I also removed the existing peg in the left knee joint of Red Ranger, and replaced it with a toothpick.

He has yet to meet my S.H. Figuarts Red Ranger figure with a dragon shield, and my Gokai Red figure, both mentioned on a previous post.

Lottie's World: Sandbox

It's been a while, sorry, but it's been pretty tough for me to get back into the hobby when I'm distracted by other things like chasing my favourite band in town, lol!

Anyway, here's a photo. It's not the only one from this set, but I only managed to export this one just because.

I love kinetic sand. It's so much fun to play with. I got the sand for a bargain, which is cool, because one box of kinetic sand here costs so much.

Taking It Slow

Lately I feel demotivated to do dolly stuff. I'm still looking for inspiration to continue my Lottie project and other stuff that have been pushed aside, but I'm not losing hope. It's only been less than two weeks since I did something blog-worthy. I mean, I took pictures of Lottie in between, but I wasn't feeling the outcome.

Meanwhile I found some nice items, including three more miniature Rody horses (black, blue and red). Now I have four of them.

Not the best photos, I know. I'm just too lazy to get my phone and take photos, so I used my webcam again. The backdrop is just a gift wrap with chocolate candies as design. They look like M&Ms or Smarties, heh.

The red horse's body is smaller than the blue one's. However when you place them side by side, they appear to be of the same height. That's because of the red horse's oversized head.

I actually could get more from my source, but I stopped at three. Maybe next time.

And this is a vintage Licca keychain, that could be dressed up because the outfit is actually removable. The head piece isn't, though. Licca looks a little snobbish here, doesn't she? Now I have my regular sized Licca dolls, this Licca keychains and my smaller ones, which are shown here.

Lately I'm thinking of making some videos for the blog, but I'm still not convinced that I should do it. Time will tell...

P.S. Last month I found out that one of the sellers I made transactions with already died, and I was like, oh s**t. Excuse the cursing, but that was my reaction. I bought these dolls from him, and he also bought a brand new doll from me. Rest in peace, sister.

Hasbro Beauty and The Beast Dolls in The Philippines

The live action Beauty And The Beast dolls are finally at my local toy stores, but I'm not so happy about their look.

These are photos taken by my friend, by the way. But I've already seen them in person.

This is the basic Belle doll with straight arms and possibly straight legs as well. Meh.

The Belle doll in her iconic yellow gown, and with articulation in the wrists, elbows and probably knees. That paper rose is quite a turnoff, lol.

The two-pack of Beast and Belle. I think Beast is a much better doll than Belle herself because Beast is really unique looking and his design is more complicated.

Do you like them? Are you excited about the upcoming movie? I'm still half-hearted about this live action version of Beauty and The Beast. I'm actually looking forward to the live action version of The Little Mermaid instead.
