Descendants, and Project MC2

I've never watched Disney's Descendants at all, but I know that the main characters of the movies are offsprings of famous Disney characters. I've become fond of Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen because she's so pretty.

One time I only had one Evie, now I have two. I've just forgotten to write an entry about the second Evie, lol.

Evie the second (left) looks prettier to me, so even if her hair is unruly, I kept it as it is. Also she came with no hands, so I just gave her plastic ones using this method. Her ballet leotard and tutu are from Ballet Barbara. Barbara has been donated for Christmas, by the way.

She's so pretty. Her face belongs to a Disney princess, I kid you not! I will fix her sometime in the future, haha.

Also, I have two Project MC2 dolls now!!! I got McKeyla (left) first. She had no hands, but like I care. Then a few months after, I got Camryn (right). She has hands, hey! Her head is a little wobbly so I had to stick some foam through her neck hole.

And decluttering update: aside from the two Licca dolls that I managed to sell, I also sold my Birthstone Barbie and Barbie book, and Eloise. I know the people I've sold these items to would love to have them. I'm just at this moment wherein I have to re-focus my hobby. I need to make more time for this blog!

No Lottie diorama for this year. I'm just not inspired to make one right now, even though my miniature Christmas tree is next to my desk, waiting to be used. I'll probably make one, but it won't make it in time for Christmas, lol. I don't care anymore. I'm not going to be punished for posting things late anyway, hahaha.

I've Gone Back To Toys R Us

It's been a while since I've been to Toys R Us, and so when the opportunity came, I just had to go there and look around.

Twozies are finally here. They're quite expensive though. These figures remind me of Kewpie so much!

Nah I don't think I can afford buying any blind box soon.

The Ever After High shelf.

Apple White. I didn't like Apple's old face, it was so sad looking, so this reboot face is much better for me. But it's still bland, so I'm still not feeling Apple. She's just not my favourite.

Bunny is pretty cute. Her smile though is not something I prefer for her because her character is a bit shy or reserved, and I feel that her smile now doesn't reflect that.

I like Raven. She's one of my favourite characters in the series. When I first saw the promo photos of Raven's new face, I was disgusted. But it has grown on me since then. I like her face here. Even though she's expected to become evil because she's the daughter of the Evil Queen, she's good and definitely one of the nicest girls in the Ever After High campus.

OMG Venus from Gloom and Bloom is on sale for P500. I swear, this doll is the one that made me understand Monster High's appeal. The dress is so perfect and her hairstyle looks awesome with the undercut! I didn't get her though because I'm saving my money for a concert, lol.

I was thinking of getting Skelita's signature doll too because it was on sale for P500, but I didn't get her either. Look, I'm at the point where I know I should stop collecting Monster High dolls for a while because I have tons to salvage and fix, and the reboot couldn't come anymore timely.  I just feel my collecting interests have changed and I'm shifting to something else, I don't know what, but I know that Monster High is still close to my hobbyist heart, lol.

5 pairs of shoes for P299.75? Not bad. That's like P60 for each pair and that's like the same price for bootleg Barbie shoes sold online, and these ones are authentic! And you don't need to pay extra for shipping. I think it's worth it.

I think I've seen these Disney Descendants Jewelbilee dolls before, so they're not really new.

Ally is ok. Not my favourite.

By the way, I found a signature Ally doll for P500 but I thought hard and decided not to get her either. I have two Evies now; those should suffice as my only Descendants dolls in my collection. I know I have a small collection of Alice in Wonderland themed dolls, but I'm not feeling her doll for some reason even though I think she's adorable.

Foxxy Cleopatra and Evie

I found Evie (right) while thrifting! She is missing her left hand. The black paint on her gloved right hand is chipping off, and her toes have melted, oh my!

I chopped off her curls because they were getting unruly even after a boil wash, then I just tied her hair into a pony tail. I haven't given her a left hand but for now she can hide her wrist under her Barbie dress.

I smoothened what is left of her toes with a Sally Hansen nail file to remove the rough edges of the plastic. And I tried to rub off the rest of the paint on her gloved hands but I'm not done yet.

Oh and I gave her eyeliner using a black watercolor pencil. I had to wet the tip of the pencil so I can draw over her factory eye paint, then I sealed it with a satin sealant and a black cotton swab (because I don't have regular white one right now. Just a set of black ones from Japan Home Centre).

Not in photo are the shoes she's wearing. They are yellow CD-R King/Kenko World shoe charms that my Licca doll used to wear.

The blue chair that Evie is using is from Daiso. In that previous entry, I also posted about a green chair, but I gave that one away to someone I transacted with recently, because we were supposed to meet up one day and I was late and didn't make it on time. I gave my buyer that chair as a freebie the next day to make up for the lost time.

In the photo above is Foxxy Cleopatra sitting on a wooden shelf that looks like a staircase. My sister actually bought that for me at Daiso in Hong Kong when she visited my other sister there. I haven't even made a post of her Daiso haul for me, but soon I will.

The background is actually a gift wrapper that has pretty cute illustrations of ladies in nice outfits. It's actually a collaboration of National Bookstore and a blogger named Chuvaness, and the artist is Keeshia Felipe. I modified the wrapper a bit by covering the brand all over the wrapper with correction tape because I like the wrapper much better without it, lol sorry.

Barbie Made to Move dolls in the Philippines, and Other Toy Store updates

Barbie Made to Move dolls are finally here! (There's Teresa, Barbie and Lea, but no Asha.)

I found these at SM North department store and Toy Kingdom, SM The Block. The saleslady at SM North told me they just arrived yesterday.

Sold at P999.75 each, these are more reasonably priced than what online sellers of this doll line ask for. Like, I've seen one seller sell this at P1800. RIDICULOUS!

There are other new dolls on the shelves, such as the Endless Hair line and a new line of mermaids, which have too much purple and pink going on that it makes me puke rainbows (not really haha). There are also the new Barbie entry level dolls priced at P449.75 that come in three new basic dresses, and I remember that one of them has the Lea face sculpt.

SM also has those new Barbie dolls in uniforms. Not sure if they're called Barbie I Can Be but I didn't see that tag line on the boxes.

There's even a chef and a pilot, I think. They are priced at P999.75. If you ask me, it's better to get the Made To Move doll, then look for a Barbie I Can Be career fashion pack if it's accessible. Sure, it's going to be much more expensive, but you get a posable doll instead of this stiff one.

In other news, at SM North, the Disney Descendants dolls have been reduced to one-fourth of a toy shelf. It is now displayed on a lower shelf of the My Little Pony Equestria Dolls display which kind of implies that SM is not restocking them any time soon. I wish they were on clearance if they're really going be to let go. Meanwhile, the Hasbro Disney dolls are on a roll because I saw new play sets like Elsa's canopy bed, Cinderella's vanity dresser with a dress form and extra dress, and Belle's table for tea time. The colour of Elsa's canopy bed is pretty cool because it gradually blends from blue to purple.

I didn't see the Shopkins Shoppies dolls at Toy Kingdom, but I did at Toys R Us. Maybe the Shoppies dolls are exclusive to TRU then??

Also the new Batman vs Superman dolls from Jakks Pacific came in yesterday too. I didn't manage to photograph those because my phone battery has gone low. There's Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman in different sizes. The biggest, I believe, is 19 inches. The size is a bit overwhelming, to be honest, specially when I picked up Wonderwoman to examine it, but I think I'd appreciate her more if her clothes are actually made of fabric, not sculpted, but alas, that is not the case.
