I sold an old coin collection, and was feeling lucky and blessed so I went thrifting afterwards.
I got this whole lot plus a Chick-fil-A antenna topper (not in photo) for around P570.
A broken Mattel Frozen Anna doll.
The face is in good condition. I actually like this face sculpt, that I bought bootleg dolls of this sculpt before. I'll definitely make a face comparison post later on.
Her legs are not made of vinyl but hard plastic, so it seems that the leg really broke off due to force. I mean, this clean cut would never happen on soft vinyl unless it was cut using a circular saw, but why would you do that anyway???!
At first I thought of making a left leg for Anna, but I figured that I don't like her sculpted top so I'm just going to transplant her head on the Liv doll body from this lot. Her old body would be kept in my stash of spare parts.
A broken Monster High 13 Wishes Draculaura doll. I don't really like tinsel on hair but I prefer to keep her hair with it.
Stained face and arm, missing left arm and hands. No big deal.
A broken Monster High School's Out Frankie Stein. Oh she's beautiful. I love her long hair, and it looks better now because I conditioned and combed it.
I completed her legs by transplanting a Cleo de Nile left leg to her. I stabbed my finger in the process, haha.
A Barbie Fashionistas Swappin Styles doll. The hair on the doll was cut off, and her knees are a bit busted, but still functional.
The knee joints are still tight so it's not a big problem at all! I don't know if hot water could help me fix the knees. I'll think about it... It's not a priority for me, anyway.
Her curls were cut off. WHY! I don't get why someone would do that. Her curls were pretty.
I used her body for my Barbie Candy Glam doll. The head will be put aside. Summer's skin tone matches the Fashionistas body.
A La Dee Da City Girl Dee shoe. It's perfect for my one-legged Tylie (as Cotton Candy Crush).
I hope it stays on her foot. I've read about La Dee Da shoes falling off despite the ankle strap being there.
A Liv Sophie doll. She's in good condition and has lovely green eyes and nude lips. I gave her body to Anna. This also made me use the other Liv doll I have for a Mattel Rapunzel head. Both Anna and Rapunzel's skin tone match Sophie's so that's even better. I had a blast with these body transplants because Anna and Rapunzel can play sisters now. I mean, look:

A miWorld Shop Girl doll. I found a blonde miWorld doll last year but her ponytail is missing so I decided not to get it. So I'm glad I found another miWorld doll.
Her apron comes off. I thought that it was a cape at first, haha.
Her shoes come off too. She has pegged feet, but the left and right shoes can't be interchanged because one peg is thicker than the other.
A Barbie Kelly/Chelsea doll with painted on swimsuit.
I don't collect Kelly/Chelsea dolls, so off with her head! I did wash her hair though before I kept it in my stash of doll parts.
She has a round neck knob.
I tried Kelly's head on the miWorld body. The head doesn't fit the thin neck knob, but the temporary transplant creates a cartoonish look.
The Chick-fil-A antenna topper that's included in my doll haul. It's made of sturdy vinyl which is great. I just want the cow and not the sign.
I cut out the cow from the figure using a craft knife.
This might work? I wanted to use the cow's hooves, but it doesn't fit Kelly's hands so they're going to have to come off.
Ah better.
I used Faber-Castell tack-it to secure the cow head to the neck.
Why did I even do this? Well, I was inspired by Peteena the poodle in a bikini so I thought as a gag, I'd make a similar doll. I now call my cow-human doll Cattleena the cow in a swimsuit, haha.
I tried the head on a regular sized Barbie and it fits, but the size of the cow head is the wrong scale for Barbie's size. It might work on a Skipper body, I think.
Hope I can make similar Peteena fashion clothes for Cattleena.

I don't know what's the deal but this is the second time I felt alienated from a local Monster High/Ever After High Facebook group. I mean it's nice to see all the photos, and it's definitely normal for the members to fawn over them. That's probably the reaction the owner of the post is expecting from their photos. Doll news and other discussions about dolls though, they seem a bit allergic to it? What gives?
One time I left a comment on a doll. In my comment I was able to identify the doll, then said the doll's hair and lips look really nice. Pretty short and generic for a comment. But I got a cold "Ok" from the owner. Huh?
Then today I posted the news early morning that EAH dolls are finally at Toy Kingdom. I got one person asking me about them, so I gave them more information. After a few hours though, the post is gone. What is the admin's problem? Do they not want other people to get their EAH dolls locally?
Even though I wasn't banned at all, I decided to leave the group, and that marks the last time I join a Facebook group dedicated to MH and EAH.
I think my kind of people would be over at Tumblr, who is open for news sharing, inquiries, and specially sharing their own toys. Next would be the ones with their own doll blogs. The ones I meet on Facebook are normally purists: those that buy dolls brand new and keep them in their original outfits and hair styles. That's totally fine. I mean, MH and EAH styles are normally colour-coordinated because of their skin colour, so it figures that some owners just stick to the doll's original appearance. From my experience though, I rarely saw people there who share their work on their rescued dolls, like there's an invisible cloud of shame for doing that, which I do not get at all.
That's really it. I'm done. I'll stick to the local selling Facebook groups because at least I can ask questions about some of the dolls, and I get to see many types, and if I get lucky, I can score some dolls for a very cheap price. But if my experience there turns into crap as well, ah then bless whatever that made that possible.
I finally saw Ever After High dolls at Toy Kingdom. I was at SM Mall of Asia this afternoon and saw the shelf full of new dolls! Sorry, no photos this time because my phone battery went low by the time I got to the store. I only saw Rosabella Beauty, Farrah Goodfairy, Daring Charming, Bunny Blanc, Melody Piper, Holly O'hair style doll, Dragon Games Apple White and her dragon, and the three budget dolls: (moulded top and no arm articulation) Raven Queen, Apple White, and Ashlynn Ella. The regular dolls are priced at P1699.75 while the budget dolls are like P1199.75 or P1299.75, I'm not sure. I wish I could see the Forest Pixies. They seem really cute.
I didn't find any blind yogurt cups at the Num Noms section. Hmm.
I thought I found the Disney Tsum Tsum plushes, but instead I found Kawaii Cubes. The characters in this series are mostly from DC Comics and Warner Bros. They're quite pricey. One small plush costs around P399.75, I think. Then the biggest plush costs around P1,999.75.
There are also newly released Sparkle Girlz. Some of the new dolls have pastel coloured hair. The others are mermaids and newly designed fairies. I still don't like them that much though. Bring me their fashion packs!
I finally saw the ice skating Barbie Careers doll (at a different toy store). She's very pretty in pink, but she doesn't look athletic like the Made To Move dolls. Another thing to note is that she has a sculpted top! Very different from the other Barbie Careers dolls that have removable clothes.
And I just noticed today that there are these cool looking Marvel Legends Infinity series figures. I even saw some Ant Man stuff. I think I like the female characters a lot. Hope there are more to see though.
I totally forgot to write about MILPOM★'s first three episodes, the third one being released today. They're very enjoyable to watch, I must say.
MILPOM★'s first episode is called "パンプキンパイっていいにくいよね！" which roughly translates to "'Pumpkin pie' is hard to say."
It was the halloween episode, and I enjoyed how realistic girl hate can be among friends. It emanates the most from Silky, but she can be very subtle about it because of her soft voice and demeanour. Milpom can be quite an airhead so she doesn't notice Silky's innuendos, or maybe she does but she doesn't let it get to her. Cacao, the newest character at the time, is the intelligent one in the group, but gets dismissed at times for being just that because her geeking out to history or general information bores the other girls.
Milpom while holding a pumpkin: PAPI PAPI RIKA RIKA PAPRIKA, DI CAPRIO. I don't know why Milpom associated Leonardo DiCaprio to a paprika, but it was so random that I laughed.
MILPOM★'s second episode is called "七面鳥ってどんな鳥かよくわかんないよね！" which translates to "What kind of bird is a turkey anyway?"
The girls are back together, with the newest character Happy in tow, in a nail salon. Happy seems to be very optimistic but Silky is there to shoot her and Milpom down. We also get to hear a lot of Cacao's thoughts. She can pretty much figure out what Silky and the other girls are not saying or about to say.
Cacao does resemble the actress that plays her, mainly because of her bangs.
MILPOM★'s third episode is called "好きになった人がタイプですってそれ都市伝説だよね？" or "Your type is up to who you fall for. Is that an urban legend?"
We can see here how the girls react when they encounter boys at Milpom's workplace. I noticed that Milpom's wearing her costume most of the time. As Cacao has mentioned, these costumes are like makeup and dresses to them, and the girls use it when they want to be presentable. It just makes sense that Milpom wears it at work as well because she has to be presentable when she works.
Cacao has a comment about having a farm field in Tokyo. I think it's true that you have to be really rich to own a farmland in the middle of Tokyo because space there is limited and very expensive.
These episodes are making me want to copy their mascot heads for my dolls. I'll put it on my list of things I wish I could do, haha.
The other day I found a nude Novi Stars Una Verse, another alien doll. I didn't take a before photo because I was so concerned about her scraggly hair. I spent quite a while combing through the nasty knots of her hair. The frizz is just so bad that I had to trim an inch of it. She was also missing her left arm, but that's fine with me.
Una is supposed to look like this brand new:
She actually has water inside her and if you flip her upside down, the orange glitter that settles in her calves should flow to her thighs.
She's perpetually standing up because she doesn't have knee or hip joints. She's basically a mannequin Novi Stars doll. She does have shoulder joints though. And it's so odd because she doesn't have a thigh gap, so dressing her in shorts or pants is not possible.

So yeah, I trimmed an inch of her hair, and I couldn't get to separate her blue streaks successfully, but that's OK because her blue streaks are not in good condition anyway. I just tied her hair into a ponytail while I figure out what else to do with it. I have never boil-washed a doll's hair, but I most likely will when I finally move all my things to my new place, and Una is a candidate for a boil wash.
I used Ari Roma's right arm as Una Verse's left arm so that I can complete Una. Then I dressed her up in a blue La Dee Da dress, and pink clone Barbie shoes because that's only one of the few pairs of doll shoes I have that fits her. Una can't fill in the top of her La Dee Da dress due to her chest being so small, but because the dress is designed with two long pieces that can be wrapped around the doll's body in many ways, I tied the pieces at the back of her neck to make a halter. Now the chest issue isn't noticeable anymore. Dressing Una was the only time I wished that I bought that Novi Stars outfit I found last month, but nah.
Oh when I dressed her, I had to take off her head and slip the dress over her neck and stuff. The dress is too tight for it to be slipped over her legs, that's why. And I feel like this La Dee Da dress covers her up so much that it's swallowing her whole. I probably will make a smaller outfit for her in the future.
I was at Toy Kingdom in SM Fairview when I found a box of discounted Minion blind bags. It's called Minions Challenge Card Game. OK, I barely finished Despicable Me, and I didn't watch the Minions movie at all, so I still don't get the appeal of the Minions. Maybe someday I will re-watch the first movie, and finally watch the sequel.
The blind bag was originally sold at P199.75 but has been discounted to P50. It so happened that I have 31 points in my loyalty card so I used them all and only had to pay P19 to get a bag.

By the way, I found some (not so) marked down blind capsules (or blind meteors??) of Crashlings at SM North, but I didn't get any at all because a single pack costs P80. No.
