Who Made You, Sindy?

I found doll items for a doll named Sindy tonight. Really cute pink doll items. But this Sindy doll is not the Trendy Girl Sindy I know. It's a different one. I couldn't find any information about this particular doll because Google Image Search is littered with photos of Sindy made by Pedigree. However, I found an inactive ad on a local classifed ads site.

Hope the ad owner does not mind me posting their doll photos. I'm just using them for reference, not for re-selling their doll... Still, I haven't found out who manufactured this doll at all.

Entitled "I Love Pink" set on the ad. Not sure if that's official.

I'm actually getting the shirt, pants, shoes, bag and jacket from an online seller. Weeee! I think the jacket might fit Takara/Monster High/Liv dolls, but the other clothes might only fit Monster High. I'll see when it gets here on Saturday.

Sindy's body is rubberised, which reminds me of the Barbie Dance 'N Flex doll, and some Takara dolls like the Compact Doll and even Pierre because of his bendable legs. Probably Phicen doll, too, but that doll looks more life-like.

And did you notice that Sindy has a hole on her crotch? LOL.

Sindy up close. There's a crease on her stomach. I wonder how sturdy the rubber is, and if that crease goes away when the body is straightened.

Look at that cute baby bum! Adorable!!! I wonder how soft her body is. I want to squish that doll butt now, hahahaha!

I heard the news before that her playsets are sold at Uniwide, but I don't know any branch near my house. Meh...

She is a 2003/2004 reincarnation of the original Sindy doll by Pedigree!

Not all New Moon Sindy dolls are made equal with flexible bodies. Others actually have straight vinyl bodies. Interesting. I like my Trendy Girl Sindy better, of course, but I do not mind having this cute flexible one.

Pretty In Pink

My Mattel Disney-Liv dolls have been dressed up in pink Barbie dresses.

Ariel's dress - This came from a Barbie doll my stepmom found in the house when she was decluttering. It seems that the straps of the dress are broken and removed.

Rapunzel's dress - I thrifted this dress. It's originally from Barbie Endless Curls.

Anna's dress - A dress I bought from an online seller. The straps are broken and removed as well.

/It's a Barbie Color & Wash Salon dress.

Elsa's dress - I thrifted this dress. I'm not so happy about those silver straps because they are fading and are quite tricky to fix during dressing up, but they look good on the doll.

/It's a Barbie Loves Glitter dress.

I was watching CSI on my laptop, which is on the background. Also behind them is a small photo album where I keep my Barbie doll clothes organised.

Elsa is Here

I finally got my order!

I got two Liv dolls, and a Mattel Frozen Elsa doll. One of the Liv dolls is discoloured, but I do not mind.

Elsa up close. I like the Frozen dolls from Mattel. The ones from the Disney Store are nice, too, but Mattel dolls are more accessible to me online.

Here is my gang of Disney dolls using Liv doll bodies.

Rapunzel got the discoloured Liv body, then Elsa got Rapunzel's old body. I didn't do anything to Anna, then I rebodied Ariel from a Barbie bellybutton body to my newest Liv body.

Note that Elsa has black scratches on her chest. Those scratches were already there when I bought it at the thrift store. I wonder what happened.

Oh how I wish I have a Nakoma doll, and that I have a spare Liv body for her. 

Thinking Of Nakoma

I'm obsessing about Nakoma right now.

Nakoma is the friend of Pocahontas in the Disney movie, and she had a doll or dolls out in the 1990s.

I actually have that coral coloured vase on the photo, hehe.

Oh you can see my dock on those two shots, haha. I didn't even notice that it was included.

Just look at her bright face adorned with that happy smile! But I read on a YouTube comment somewhere that Nakoma should have been designed with a closed lip sculpt because Native Americans think that baring your teeth when you smile is a threat as it resembles animals baring their teeth when they attack, or something like that. I still have to verify this, but if it's true, then Pocahontas was definitely made the right way. I still like Nakoma just the same though.

Look at Nakoma there with a Liv body! It suits her very well. I think she would be a good addition to my Liv-Disney gang, if I ever get one. So far, the only members of the group is Rapunzel and Anna, but Elsa will be coming in shortly. And I'm still thinking about adding Ariel since I already have a head for this purpose, but not enough Liv bodies. I mean, what if I did find a Nakoma head, right? I think I know where I can get her online, but I'm holding it off, buying her I mean, because for the nth time, I'm working on a lot of dolly things. So for now, this post shall be my shrine for Nakoma, to tide me over for I don't know how long... until I get that Nakoma head.

Jianidi Doll on Sale

So I went to the toy section at my local SM department store and saw this display of Jianidi dolls: Girl Feelings... dun dun dun... with the orange tag.

Man, why would you do this to me, SM??? You know I've been looking at these dolls for so long but resisted, and now you put it on sale...

Jianidi's articulation is pretty sweet. They even have ankle joints. And their dress is pretty. I particularly like... hmm, I actually never thought about that. Perhaps the yellow or orange skirt, but I do not mind getting the other two...

What am I saying?? I already vowed to stay off of buying dolls these days, particularly Barbie. And I think I'm done buying Monster High dolls, too. Not because I hate them now; it's just that I have to focus on fixing them, styling them, photographing them, and displaying them. I don't have to get more because I have lot of work cut out for me.

But yeah, if you're looking for a very pale Barbie-like doll with sweet articulation, this is it!

Meanwhile, I found new dolls at the toy aisle.

These Barbie clone dolls are called Glamorous Sariel. Their face sculpt really looks good. If you inspect their legs in this type of box, you could see that they have decent legs, not chopsticks-thin at all.

I like the purple dress on the doll on the left. Not sure if they have decent legs as well because I couldn't see past their skirt.

Had to crop this because I just realised that my face is shown on the packaging, LOL!!

This doll has very thin limbs, so the quality of the doll does vary, I guess. Anyway, I recognise the design of that dress. I have one and it's from Barbie Endless Curls.

Zombie Alice Outside

I took Zombie Alice outside!

I've watched a video of a guy walking high up on a building without fear, and it bugged me. Anyway these photos of Zombie Alice not letting go from the metal beam reminds me of that.

I have transported a few more dolls to my new place. The shelf is a work in progress and the positioning of the dolls is temporary as I have yet to transport ALL my dolls.
