Whitney and Tori

I photographed two of my dolls last week. Here's Style Magic Whitney.

She has a Steffie face sculpt. Her hair has two colours. The upper part of her hair is a light brown, while the bottom part is darker. I think her hair is meant to be poofy because she's a vintage doll after all, so I didn't boil wash it.

Her outfit is a mix of modern and vintage which I thought came together nicely. The top is a Fashionistas top, I think, and the skirt is definitely vintage and quite loose at the waist already so I have to tie it in the back with the loom band.

I really like the Steffie sculpt. It's so cute.

The cotton candy is from a Barbie Candy Glam set, I think.

And here's Tori. Her character is the lead from this TV show called Victorious. Tori is played by Victoria Justice.

I love her face. I don't mind that her head is so big.

She's actually a singing doll. When I lift her bent left arm, her song Make It Shine plays. Make It Shine is played a lot at Toy Kingdom so I enjoy this feature a lot. When I lift her straight right arm, the sound of applause plays. Raise both arms together and it's like she's in concert. Now she needs a microphone, haha.

I don't know if this dress is Barbie, but it fits her well. Her shoes, I have no idea where it's from but it's made of soft rubber.

/I found out that the dress is from Barbie: A Fairy Secret.

Even if she has a bent arm and she has limited articulation, she was fun to pose.

Thrifted Ever After High Dolls

I went to the thrift store again and found so many Monster High and Ever After High dolls with no arms, it was so sad. I wanted to adopt them all and take care of them but of course, that's impossible.

I saw one of the werecat twins (I don't now if it's Meowlody or Pursephone), Catty Noir, Jane Boolittle, Gigi Grant, Spectra Vondergeist, and Venus McFlytrap (I think it's the Gloom and Bloom version because of the undercut). There were also a number of Draculaura, Cleo de Nile, Clawdeen Wolf, Lagoona Blue and Frankie Stein dolls, a Freak du Chic one, even. 

There was a Disney Descendants Evie doll with no hands, and also an articulated Project MC2 McKeyla doll with a missing arm and no hands. I was thinking twice about getting McKeyla, but I didn't want to start another doll collection, so I put her back. And a broken Cutie Pops doll with a whole leg missing, lol. She even had her shoe on the remaining leg, and boy it was a cute shoe.

And on to the Ever After High dolls! I almost got a Poppy O'hair!! I like her character, and her hair is beautiful, but when I saw the doll, I was rather disappointed. It looks so blank. Even though she is on my wish list, I didn't get her still. I was just not convinced to get her. There was also a stained Apple White and Cerise Hood. What a waste. I don't think I could save their face because they were stained with ink!

I did get these two, though.

A Bunny Blanc Carnival Date version! She is the daughter of The White Rabbit from Wonderland. I love her hair. I gave her new hands and dressed her like this. Her head piece is from Shopkins Shoppies Jessicake. Her dress is Takara, secured at the waist with a red loom band because it was too wide for her. Her necklace is something I made out of scrap plastic, and I made her shoes, too, with hot glue and acrylic paint!

Bunny is a great addition to my accidental collection of Alice in Wonderland dolls, lol. Now I have these:

• Bunny Blanc

And I want to customise my Monster High C.A. Cupid to become the Red Queen, hehe.

Melody Piper, daughter of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. Her hair is so beautiful, it reminds me of Storm from the X-men, haha. I actually sprayed her hair and Bunny's with Downy fabric conditioner mixed in with water before I cleaned them up with soap and water. Now her hair is really soft. I think I want to do this to my other dolls.

This wedding dress is just temporary. I don't know yet how I'd style her so it can bring out her personality. The new hands I gave her kept falling off, so I'll have to fix those. For this photo, I just hid her arms behind her skirt.

The yellow and green panels are new. I went back to Wilcon depot to get more vinyl tiles! Here's another new panel I used.

Oh Melody is beautiful!!

She seems more photogenic than Bunny.

Bunny's eyes are so wall-eyed so I had a difficult time taking her photo. I don't even like this photo because of the shadow at the back.

The Kaiyodo rabbit just has to be placed beside Bunny. They finally meet.

Also I tied a cord on push pins stuck on my desk, and made a clothesline out of it. Lottie's outfits look cute on it. And I was able to use the hangers I made out of paper clips again! These clothes should have been on a clothes rack I made almost two years ago, but it fell apart, so nope.

These two dolls are what I needed to continue working on the rest of my broken Monster High dolls.

Toys At Landers Superstore

Look what I found at Landers Superstore!!

This dollhouse! It's huge! It's called KidKraft Country Estate dollhouse.

The kitchen. That barbecue grill is too cute! I had to touch it and open the inside. Yes, there were plastic grills inside!

The living room. And look at that price tag. P10,999.75. Omg, I can't. It's so expensive.

The other rooms. The dollhouse was placed high on the shelf so I couldn't reach the rest of the rooms.

The garage. The doors open and close.

An this is the first time I saw a Monster High Mega Bloks set.

And there were these Project MC2 and American Girl sets, but no dolls. :-/ I would have been utterly surprised if there were Project MC2 dolls.

Just had to take more photos of the dollhouse. It's just huge.

I don't think I'd be able to handle something like this, lol. It takes up so much space.

Hope Landers can stock up on dolls.

A New Paper Craft, and Lottie's World: I'm Just Really Tired Edition

Last week or so, I found this gift wrapping paper with Japanese paper fans as the design. It was quite worn out compared to the other gift wrapping paper on sale, but I chose this because I thought I could cut them out into tiny paper fans.

They're doll sized paper fans! Lots of them! My dolls could use these as accessories, or I could use them for doll wall decor. Awesome.

Also I was going through some doll clothes and found this sweater I made for Honey Swamp using an old sock. It was pretty worn out but I thought that Lottie might still be able to use it, even for one last time.

I don't know what came over me when I made this scene, lol. I think I wanted Lottie to shovel snow, hahaha.

I changed the back panel, just because.

The yellow lamp is from Mattel. The shovel is from a Pocahontas boating set, I believe. The hat and the watch are probably Licca's, I'm not sure. The black socks are cut-off legs from this failed sewing project of a custom Violet Parr doll. The shoes are actually generic bootleg sneakers that I've modified with a crafting knife to fit Lottie's feet. The soles have been removed, the back of the shoes have been cut off, and the inside has been carved to accommodate's her feet. I stabbed my thumb in the process, ouch. Also I have removed the factory paint with nail polish remover. I was thinking about painting it, but white sneakers look cool. I'll keep them that way.

The dog's hat is from a chocolate dispenser. The dog's scarf is a fabric I dyed with purple stamp ink. It's actually the prototype skirt of my custom Hit Girl doll. It was a bit loose, so I secured it at the back with a small clothes pin. See, you shouldn't really throw away your old failed projects. They might come in handy again someday.

Here's another diorama I did afterwards. I have no idea what I'm going for here either, lol. I'm just really tired, OK.

Lottie's hat is from Paddington Bear. The suitcase is from a gashapon capsule. The tiny crab, watermelon, rainbow heart, and white maryjanes are actually rubber erasers. I forgot which company made that pink chair. The figure on top of it is the pet (?) of Mini Cure Black. The cactus is from a key chain. The cat is made of clay or ceramic, and the pet carrier is made by Mattel. 

I'm exhausted, not from making these simple dioramas, but because of this day. Thank goodness it will be over soon. I'll go back to regular Lottie's World posts soon, where Lottie is actually doing something in my photos, lol.

Lottie's World: Relax Friday

I got home last Firday and was really tired, but I managed to come up with this diorama quickly. I didn't really think things through, though. I just wanted a living room setup.

I actually had a full picture of the room with Lottie sitting down like this, but it didn't turn out well. It was blurry, so I didn't share it anymore. :-/

This leg lamp! It's the Christmas ornament I talked about here. Finally I was able to use it in a doll photo.

A record player I made, based on instructions from Froggy's video. I still have to make vinyl records. Oh that's probably another paper craft I'm going to be crazy about, lol. Jamie, you don't need to make 50 doll vinyl records, OK??!

The dog is a key chain I thrifted. Aww, there's a glare on one of its eyes.

Probably one of my favourite shots, if not for the fallen panel on the side, lol!!

Ah the panels! Three of them are carpet vinyl tiles, while the back panel is a wood vinyl tile! Pretty cheap and very handy! I bought them at Wilcon depot, and I think I want to get more with solid colours.

The wall art pieces are cutouts from a quilting magazine. I intentionally positioned one of them higher than the other.

The table is thrifted and made by Mattel.

The green figure on the left is a faux grass reindeer I got at Daiso (Buy One, Take One with this Christmas tree). Lottie could actually ride on it, haha.

The white dog is from a local seller and its head can actually move from side to side. It's pretty cute, and quite heavy, too.

The chair is from Daiso.  The toy car near Lottie's feet is from Kinder Surprise egg. I'm not lucky with those eggs because I normally get lousy toys, so I'm glad that I was able to use one of the Kinder toys I got for this purpose.

The cat is made of clay, I think, and I feel bad that its tail is a bit broken. The pet bed is from a lot of toys, and the "pillows" are actually foam flowers that would grow in water.

The lamp stand is actually a vintage TV made by Bandai.

Oh Lottie's hair piece. It's just a Licca hair band, and a pink crown clip attached to it.

Anyway, I made her wear this Hello Kitty dress that came from a lot of toys I bought. I also positioned the cat to be climbing on her arm, and the flowers that were turned upside down in the pet bed earlier are now positioned the right way here.

More Jianidi Dolls

I found these variants from local online sellers, and asked permission from them so I could share these photos on my blog!

This is the Jianidi In The Mood For Love doll. Her face is lovely, don't you think. She also has a nice dress with a frilly skirt, and shoes! 

Here is another Jianidi doll but with a different face mold and red hair! Her pink dress is three-tiered, and very bright just like her hair!
