Doll Shelfie March 2018

This is how my last display looked like. I removed some of my dolls because I wanted to sell them, so the rest of my collection looks disorganised.

I dumped everything on the floor Marie Kondo style. LOL look at this doll mountain. My friends thought this is insane.

I rearranged my shelves and I'm content for now.

Some of my dolls needs a comb and new elastic hair ties.

My Barbie shelf is still a mess. I'm not happy with this one just yet.

I still have a lot of dolls to fix or dress up. I will get there. I will get there. I will keep repeating that to myself, haha.

A Doll Shelfie Before 2016 Ends

So the last time I rearranged my dolls in my new place was in November. However, my phone died so I couldn't take photos. I just went back after a month and brought in more dolls, so the display has expanded.

I didn't do much here other than put Battie on Skooter, as if she's hugging her, and I also inserted Dawn in the middle row.

I didn't do anything in this cubicle.

I inserted my Takara Compact Doll here so that CD-8 is next to my other Takara dolls.

I changed this up so much. I put my La Dee Da dolls at the back row, then some of my Disney-Liv hybrids infront: Rapunzel with a mini Rapunzel, Elsa with a mini Olaf, Anna, and Ariel.

This shelf also changed. It's way less cluttered.

You can't see it very well, but the newest addition to my Daruma collection is a small pink one. It's not the kind that can fall down and roll back up though.

At the back are still the same generic Barbies. I also placed my bootleg Zombie Rapunzel, White Queen from Alice Through The Looking Glass, and Zombie Alice from Once Upon A Zombie in the middle row. In the front row is my vintage Jasmine doll, and a Disney Descendants Evie with a missing left hand. I was lazy to give her a new hand, but I figured, I could deal with Evie having only one hand. I made her necklace using small plastic beads and floral wire. It's not the neatest looking accessory, but it could hold its triangular shape because of the floral wire.

I organised this shelf so that it would only store Monster High dolls, Ever After High dolls, and Princess Malucia. I added Dracularua, Spectra, Lagoona, Venus, and Frankie in the back row. Bootleg Raven and Cupid were placed at the other end of the back row so that they can join my other EAH dolls there.

In the front row is my custom skeleton face doll which is really a bootleg MH doll, Ghoulia, Clawdeen, Lagoona, Gigi, Operetta, Ghoulia, Clawdeen, Elissabat, Frankie, Lagoona, and Deuce.

This shelf is now full! I filled it with Barbies, some hybrid dolls and my small dolls.

At the back row: Midge, Trichelle, Sweetie, Nikki, Summer, Nikki, and Liv hybrids Sharpay, Mary-Kate, Jane and Nakoma.

Middle row: Nikki, Jianidi, Una Verse, Ari Roma.

Front row: A Kelly-Breyer doll hybrid,  Midge, Christie, Dazzle, "Foxxy Cleopatra", Kira, Princess Grace.

Small dolls: Tin Man, Jumping Rope Girl, Baseball Girl, Big Bad Wolf, baby Curly and a Quintuplet, Peko-Chan, Mini Cure Black, Red Riding Hood, and Cattleena.

This is a mess, but I like the chaos. I don't think I have the strength to go over everything here, lol, so feel free to open this image on a new window to take a look at it much better.

Also, Red Power Ranger (Tyranno Ranger in Japanese) has finally met Gokai Red! Tyranno is a bit taller than Gokai Red, but that's OK. I wonder if I should continue collecting more Red Rangers... oh and they still haven't met my small Gao White figure, and Human Tackle, too.

Not toys, but also my collection. My travel magnet collection is growing! I mostly collect magnets that have names of places on them.

Here are the Marin Chiclana dolls from my aunt's estate, and my dancing Thai dolls which I haven't removed from packaging, haha. In the background is a glimpse of the 2017 Zodiac calendar my relative drew. I don't think I have the courage to colour this at all. I would simply ruin it, lol.

I leave you with the White Queen still with a hangover from the Christmas season:

The tree was on sale at Daiso because of Buy One Take One promo, but I didn't take another tree as a freebie. Instead I got a leafy reindeer that fits Lottie. I haven't photographed it yet though. Soon!

/Oh I forgot to post this! A comparison of my doll shelfies:

I will rearrange them once again in the future. Perhaps I will take down those small dolls on the fourth partition and display them on a lower shelf. I don't know. I'm not thinking so deep about it.

In other news, look at what was donated at a Jollibee toy box:

It's a Barbie Basics doll with a Carnaval head sculpt! With her stock outfit and shoes! Oh my!!! The kid who's going to get her is so lucky!

At the thrift store, I found some broken Monster High dolls. I didn't buy any of these.

TEAM NO ARMS.

Freshwater Lagoona Blue from the Freaky Fusion 13 Wishes line! I almost got her because I don't have a blue Monster High doll, but I already have too many Lagoonas, so I put her back.

I wanted this Frankie Stein doll, but her hair has been cut in places. I don't want to deal with cut hair, so I left her. She has nice blue streaks though. It makes her extra special.

And that's another Lagoona. Pass.

Draculaura. She's missing a couple of hair plugs. And I have too many Draculauras, too, so nope.

Oh and I told myself I should stop buying dolls this month, but I failed and bought this clone made in Hong Kong. It's not a Barbie doll so I'm still good.

It's a clone doll of Mod Barbie! I love it! Her face is stunning! She has rooted eyelashes and her hair is thick and generously rooted for a clone doll! I just love her face. I don't think I'm that interested anymore in getting a vintage Barbie Silkstone because I now have her. I just prefer her face than a Silkstone's. But I shouldn't close my doors. What if a clone Silkstone comes along my way and I like it too?? Oh no, my wallet...

Her body is mostly hollow, but her legs have wire inside so she can bend her knees!

On the back of the doll, it says that she's a 1968 Princess Grace doll. So now I'm calling her Princess Grace.

Princess Grace went through a dress fitting stage because I don't know how I should dress her up. I even had to ask my friend's opinion about what would look good on her.

In the end, I settled with Curvy Barbie's floral dress and these silver shoes, secured with loom band. And I just realised then that I had some cheap flower earrings I do not use so I impaled Princess Grace's head with one, lol. The flower fits her outfit's ruffles!

The belt is actually the hair tie she came with. The hair tie made an impression on her hair so her hair is not straight looking, but I'm already done with her. I don't want to boil wash her hair anymore. I mean, what if the hair gets fried because of the heat? I don't want to risk it.

Her legs are kinda warped, but I think this makes it easy for me to pose her more elegantly. I don't think I could do this cross-legged pose if her legs were the click type.

Aaaand at Puregold, I found these dolls. They're called Trendy Amelia. I only saw three variants.

Oh a black doll??? That's nice!

I think I like her hat.

Pink, of course.

Here's a closer look of Trendy Amelia's face sculpt. I think I've seen this sculpt before but I can't figure out where. I like that her nose is defined.

The back of the box. So there's just three variants in this series, as photographed on the box. I hope I see more bootleg dolls!!
