I finally have a Cat Burglar doll! I got her on sale for P300! Whew, after 2 years of waiting, hahaha.
Her head is a Skipper face mold.
I take it back, her face is not that bad, as I mentioned in my two-year old post: "kinda meh". Her eyebrows are quite high too. She looks a bit evil, which is how she's perceived to be, haha.
I'm just glad that I finally found her at a price I can afford. Next time, I'll take a photo of her next to my custom Cat Burglar doll.
Oh my gosh, Cinderella the live action doll. This is actually cheap! I saw this post late so I wasn't able to get her.
I don't collect actual Madame Alexander dolls, but I have six Madame Alexander-McDonald's ones and find them really cute.
I would like this Holly Hobbie doll for her dress! I think Lottie might fit in this.
This is the first time I've seen this Hallmark Cards Knickerbocker Betsey Clark doll. I don't like her face that much, but Lottie won't say no to a dress like that.
A Heidi Remco Pocketbook doll. Super cute!
I'm curious about that doll in the middle, the one with dark hair and denim shorts. I wonder what doll that is.
Ooh a Wreck-it Ralph tumbler, in the shape of an arcade game machine. Its design is based on the Fix It Felix game in the movie. So cool!! It reminds me of my Pixels tumbler.
Wow, Gumby and friends! I have two Gumbys, and if I ever find his friends at the thrift store, I will get them!!!
Chelsea in a Christmas tree outfit. So cute!! I want to make one for Lottie.
Oh this lovely dress, it is pastel coloured and looks really dainty. It reminded me of Licca.
I can't sleep. I thought I just had to make my own version of the Barbie Spy Squad Cat Burglar doll because I don't have the original doll, haha. So this is my own cat burglar doll. Or should I say werecat burglar doll?
The doll I used has a Monster High Catrine DeMew head, and a 2009 BFC Ink body.
The blue fabric is from a stretchy pair of old leggings. The black fabric is from an old skirt. The belt is cut from a pink silicone bracelet and secured with thin wire. The necklace is made from a Monster High Clawdeen Wolf's creeperific charm and a silicone string. The mask is from the same old skirt. The boots are just fabric wrapped around the feet, from the skirt as well and secured with transparent loom bands.
It's not visible, but I recycled an old computer microphone into a doll stand. The customising took a couple of hours to do. It's not perfect, but it will do for me.
Her face is kinda meh. I wish Mattel gave her a smirk and a raised eyebrow. But her eyes look quite cat like, don't you think?

The movie Barbie Spy Squad is coming out this year on video, I think.
(Ack, it was released this month! Check out this video.)
Here's the trailer:
This is giving me a Totally Spies vibe, and there's an Easter Egg for Barbie Princess Power:

Here are screen shots of the Cat Burglar:
She can breeze through a motion sensor protected room.
She is very agile and graceful.
The cat burglar also has some attitude. Kinda like Hit Girl but not vulgar and brutal. She doesn't seem like she's carrying any weapon in her person. She's just very acrobatic, I guess.
She even has a purple motorcycle, just like Hit Girl!

Oh I don't know if we'll ever get the Spy Squad dolls in Manila this year. I hope so, so that I could see her in person. I like how she looks in photos, but just in case I don't like her when I see her up close, I just might customise a doll in her likeness. I have a Catrine deMew head. She's a werecat from Monster High, and her hair is purple and pink, which is similar to this cat burglar. Her body is BFC Ink and I know the skin tones do not match, but I don't care. The BFC Ink body is definitely shorter than Barbie, so I know I can make it work. Ah, ideas!
