Vi and Va bootleg

I was browsing OLX.ph today and found this bootleg of the Vi and Va dolls!

Bootlegs of Roxxi and Felicia from Vi and Va

It came from this ad:

I recognised them because of their toad eyes. But it's only the doll heads that seem to have been cloned. The body is made up of your generic Bratz torso and thin limbs.

And it's funny because the cardboard insert inside is about Ever After High dolls.

I don't like Vi and Va dolls because of their toad eyes. Very unsettling. But they have stubby feet which is refreshing to see in dolls these days. And they have fashion packs! I read on Tumblr that Vi and Va clothes fit Monster High dolls!

Disney Star Darlings

I found out about this doll line by watching Froggy's latest video of two of the dolls. (I assume she will be reviewing the rest on another video.) I checked them out here but there's not much to see:

http://characters.disney.com/star-darlings/products

Star darlings are a group of specials girls who go to an academy in a place called Starland and have been given a purpose to go to Earth and grant 12 special wishes.

I'm not really after the story, to be honest. I just like to look at their dolls, particularly this one:

Her name is Scarlet Starling and I think she is adorable with her tutu skirt and striped tights. And her colour scheme is pretty cool. Oh and she's the only doll in the line which is looking sideways! So typical of Disney princess dolls.

Here she is at the Disney Store and she is being sold for $29.95.

By the way I find it a little strange that there's also another doll in this line (Leona) with eyes that are looking up. I think their eyes positioned this way makes the doll a little less versatile. Here it is: http://www.disneystore.com/leona-starling-star-darlings-doll-10-1/2/mp/1387414/1000259/

Don't these dolls remind you of Jems and the Holograms and Barbie Rock'n Royals? If you look up Star Darlings on Google, you will find art of 5 of the girls being in a band, so I thought they seem to be based on something I've already seen before...

Doll hunting (Authentic and Bootleg dolls!)

Some photos of dolls while I was out and about:

Rochelle Goyle from the Monster High Freak Du Chic playset!

Monster High Adult Collector Draculaura! I don't know how to feel about all the embroidery, to be honest. And her inset eyes are unsettling to me, I don't know why. (/Oops those eyes are just painted, not inset. The painting style fooled me, ha!)

A bootleg Ever After High Madeline Hatter! Me not like! It's not articulated very well!

Bootleg Ever After High Raven Queen and *fake surprise* Madeline Hatter.

Another bootleg Ever After High Madeline Hatter and Apple White.

A bootleg Bratz doll with masks.

A big-headed doll from a doll line called Belle. I was thinking of getting this one because it's fully articulated and the big head is quite amusing.

A birthday party set from the Belle doll line again. I think the package is full of crap because it's mostly paper. In reality, you're only getting a few items from the box.

This is what I'd like to call a deluxe birthday party set from Belle again. You're getting some balloons, a birthday cake and a slice of cake in this set.

WOW bootleg Cutie Pops. I didn't even think they'd be copied too! I don't plan to buy this because it's expensive for a bootleg and this is such a top-heavy doll. If it doesn't come with a stand, it's going to be a challenge to display them specially if they are wearing a great free-flowing dress!

Shoe charms

At CDR-King I found some pens on sale. BOGO @ P10, what a deal!! I bought two pairs!

I don't immediately need pens because I have a lot at home, but what made me get 4 pens are the shoe charms attached to them.

At the store, I thought they just might fit my miniature dolls!

So... I tried these on them...

Rapunzel's feet can slide through the holes of the boots so I say it fits her.

Dawn's feet are too big for the holes, but I tried shaving off some of the plastic with a craft knife to make the holes a little bigger. I guess it worked.

I managed to put her feet through the holes, but you can tell by the shadow that she can only fill in half of the boots.

Anyway, I am just glad my miniature dolls have shoes now. Oh Rapunzel is still naked, sorry about that...

Finally! A Liv Doll!

I found a Liv doll at the thrift store. Sophie, to be exact. She's not in the best condition (fading paint job on her hair and lips, lots of scratch marks on her body, her right leg hinge is a bit loose) but she's still functional and quite cheap for P100! I didn't buy a wig for her because the thrift store had new arrival stuff and the price is a bit jacked up. They were asking for P50 for the wig I found so I said no. That's because a couple of months ago, I found a Liv wig over there and they were asking P35 for it plus the wig holder but because I didn't have a Liv doll back then, I didn't buy it. So I know they can give me a lower price if the wig has been there for a long time. But no worries, because I have three Monster High Create-A-Monster wigs. Although the pegs of the CAM wigs are so different from the Liv wig's, I was able to use one of them because I just jammed the wig peg through the head hole. It has to be the wig with the bangs. Later I will provide photos to show you what I mean.

OK I still find Liv doll eyes to be a bit frightening. The look of a Liv doll is so stunned, I'm not so comfortable with the way it looks, but I love the Liv doll's articulation. It's so posable!!

I have more stuff to post, but I've been so busy lately. I've been meaning to post all the photos I took so I can clean up my phone and laptop. See you soon!

Basket totes and more

Today at a grocery store, I found a bag of small candies and some doll basket totes. It was very cheap: P9.55. I bought one pack.

The basket totes are cute. They're made of plastic and are textured so they look like they are woven. The candy is crap. I ate two sticks and that's it. I'm just going to toss the rest in the trash.

I didn't buy the other bagged goodies I saw at the grocery. I saw other bags filled with the same candy and some doll shoulder bags but I don't like the design of the bags. I also saw another bag filled with candy and doll hair brushes and a lone bag filled with, yes, candy and some doll mugs. I didn't get the mugs either because I'm more interested in fashion items. And the handle of those mugs are not big enough so that a Barbie's hand can be inserted through it. so no, thanks.

By the way, here are some of the shoe charms I bought from CDR-King.

I have five pairs in total, I think. I have another dark pink pair and a green one, which Frankie is wearing and won't remove because the colour matches her lipstick, haha.

And I found these hair ties and I bought them for P10 each. Each hair tie comes with 2 top hat charms that I could just remove and use for my dolls.

Here they are together with my mini Rapunzel doll which I fixed with hot glue so her right leg cannot be moved anymore. I think I need to use some wires to make the top hats into headdresses.

Oh I thrifted this doll dress. I had no idea it's from 2011 Holiday Barbie:

I bought it for P75. Is it a good deal? I have no idea when it comes to Barbie...

I saw these at Landmark, btw, but note that I didn't purchase any.

These are made of tin so they're really sturdy and can be used for other things. Not sure about the scale but luggages are bulky anyway so they might look good with 12 inch fashion dolls.
