Back From My Trip

Hello, I'm back from my trip. I didn't bring out my dolls and take photos of them during the trip for fear of being judged. It just didn't feel right even if the place I went to looks amazing.

It was a very stressful trip and I didn't want to mix my hobby with this thing I was working on at all ,so Asha and Lottie were kept in a pouch and plastic bag the whole time. I even brought my drink floaters and a balloon pump, in case I would be able to bring them to the pool, but nope, not this time. I wasn't feeling it.

I will be back. I'm hopeful and positive!

Hello.

Just thought I'd drop by and say hello. I won't be able to update this blog in the next two months because I'm working on another musical project, and have to focus on that. I told myself though that after this project, I'd go back to my old hobbies, and one of them is this, doll collecting and photography. I might have a chance to take some photos next month because I have to travel, but I'm not expecting much because I'm travelling for business and not for vacation. I don't want other people who don't understand this hobby to think I'm not serious about my work, lol.

I still update my toy Instagram account whenever I can, so I guess you can find me there, if you are looking for me.

I still also play with some of my toys. In fact, I have two cacti growing by the window in my room, and I have photographed those with miniature toys beside them. Those blind bag toys do come in handy for that purpose, haha.

I'll be back. See ya.

Lottie's World: Seaside and Daiso

I finally had the chance to take pictures of Lottie again. This is at the seaside, and Lottie brought Toffee the dog with her!

A train passed by. We didn't ride it though.

While shooting this on the (fake) grass, a toddler came by and tried to take Lottie away from me!! It was good that I was quick to react. I packed up everything and left.

On my way home, I passed by the Daiso store and saw this display of toy dinosaur bones.

This reminds me of my childhood, when I was quite well-versed about dinosaurs. I used to know a lot of dinosaur names and even periods.

I actually got my fake grass here at Daiso!!

Oooh look at these toy boats, too.

I didn't get any of these though. But I want to make one, kinda like that put-put boat that Ponyo and Sosuke rode in that Ghibli movie. Hmmm.

At My Grandmother's House

Every year, I spend my Christmas Eve at my grandmother's house. But it was only this year that I snooped around to pass time, and checked out my grandma's odd collection of toys and memorabilia.

These rubber dogs that would probably look better when cleaned.

This broken Towering Rescue LCD card game. 80's, man!!

This vintage tin car with Mickey Mouse on it.

This Rubix cube with fruits on each square.

This poor doll made in Hong Kong. I was tempted to sneak her out of the house and bring her home so that I could clean her. She has seen better days.

This other vintage doll, but I don't think it's for playing. It's meant to be a decor instead.

And these two miniature phones.

Turns out that these are Acme fridge magnets. Really cool! I wanted to touch and inspect them, but they were in a glass cabinet, and I didn't want to be obnoxious and ask my grandmother's permission to get stuff like this out of storage. She's an old woman. I don't want to give her any trouble.

Here's to hoping I'd be more active in 2018, lol!!!

Muddy Puddles' Adventure

When I took these photos, Muddy Puddles Lottie was still a new doll in my collection. I wasn't that familiar with her face yet, so I thought I didn't photograph her that well. I'll improve, for sure.

I brought her at my family's ancestral house. It is abandoned, and needed some TLC.

Oh, a jackfruit! It was still unripe for picking.

Muddy Puddles found my late grandfather's car. It was very dusty, but she didn't mind. She wrote her name on the dusty windshield.

The Lotties' Day Out

As promised on a previous post, I'm posting the photos I took for my Lottie Dolls Instagram takeover. I went over my old post again and found that three of my Instagram posts were deleted. I wonder why. I guess the Lottie team didn't like the shot I took at the stairs, and the library shots. I didn't like the library shots that much either, so I'm not posting those anymore.

Some shots I took by our backyard mango tree.

I brought all three Lotties to a country club to relax.

I like this shot because the halls were empty, and I was on my stomach when I took this shot, lol. I didn't care. I just had to get that shot.

Pool side. I didn't bring any swimsuits for the girls, so no swimming.

I think this is the missing shot from the Lottie Dolls Instagram account, but it doesn't bother me that it's missing. I just didn't think it would get deleted, but *shrugs*.

I made Lottie do a cartwheel. It took a little while to make her balance!

So I guess, that's it for this post, lol. I have taken these back in June, so I don't have much to say anymore given that they're not fresh photos. Sorry!

Here's an additional photo, by the way.

It's just a candid shot of Muddy Puddles on my table.
