Warehouse Sale, Skelita, and Lava Cake

I went to Richprime Global Inc's warehouse sale last December 5th. This is my haul from the warehouse which was a couple of floors up the building, and at Kids Depot on the ground floor.

2 Angry Birds camping sets worth P300 each, because I’ve wanted a miniature tent for so long, I might as well get two tents because why not.. I heard about this camping set from a fellow doll collector who found one at the sale, so I made sure to look out for this when I visited the warehouse. These were actually difficult to find. The boxes were placed so far back in one of the Barbie shelves, and I had to pull out other boxes in front to see these.

A Rio 2 blue macaw family pack worth P200, because the woman who bought the duo packs said she’d be using hers for her plants and I was like whooaaa..  I've been using the birds to decorate my cactii, haha.

A La Dee Da fashion pack, worth P50, with the bunny missing and the straps of the dress already disintegrating but that’s ok because it’s hella cheap anyway.

2 sets of Monster High tapefitti tapes, worth P200 each, for me and my friend. My friend likes washi tapes, and I like to craft when I have the time, so these are perfect for us.

And a Barbie MTM pink top, worth P700, for my friend because she has been looking for one for so long and we couldn't find any at our local stores anymore. She has already paid me back, lol.

Here is Lottie modelling the La Dee Da fashion pack, the Rio birds, and the camping set!

Brand new Monster High dolls are so rare now, I could only find them at Kids Depot. I found Scarah Screams (Freaky Fusion) there for P200!! That's crazy! But I didn't want to get her because I don't like her fusion with Toralei Stripe, haha.

Speaking of Monster High, I found Skelita Calaveras at the thrift store back in November.

I have no clothes for her, but I think I like her naked like this; I can see al her bones.

And I wish I knew whom to credit for the photo above. I found it on Instagram and forgot to get the link, shucks! Anyway, that's a gorgeous lava cake with a doll topper made to look like Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray from the Philippines! She even has the iconic Three Stars and Sun ear cuff! This is truly a work of art!

Celebrity and Sports Dolls

I've been updating my Instagram account more often than this blog, but I never forget about this place. I still think of things to write about or do, but lately I've been feeling demotivated again. I have to work on that!

Anyway...

I found a Raven Symone doll! It's from The Cheetah Girls and Raven played the character Galleria. I know nothing about the show, haha. I'm just glad that I finally have Raven. I got her cheap online and made a friend in the process.

This is Aqua from The Cheetah Girls, but I really don't know the actress who played her. I got her with her original top, but not the pants because her pants were too expensive for me. And I figured that her top was long enough to look like a dress so I just bought her top.

Here are Galleria and Aqua together. My collection of AA dolls is growing! Sweet!!!

This is Edeline from 12 Dancing Princesses, which I know nothing about either, hahah. I only found her head so I had to look for a replacement body. Luckily I found an MTM. It was broken: neck peg is missing, so were the hands, and the feet are mismatched, but I winged it and was able to give the MTM body to Edeline. I love her Goddess sculpt face.

I found this Britney Spears doll and rescued it, but I sold it afterwards. Even though I was tempted to keep it, it didn't feel right.

Turns out that my instincts were right. I found another Britney Spears doll and they actually had stains on their face. I was glad that the stains came off so she looks presentable. Her hair was cut off, so I had to trim it a little. Her hair at the back is shorter but I can manage.

Here she is with Baby Spice. They look cute. My caption for this photo over at Instagram is "Hit Me Baby Spice One More Time", lol!!!

Just as the World Cup was about to end, I found this 1998 Women's World Cup Barbie! She had her jersey uniform, long socks, soccer cleats and even her shin guard! And she could really kick a ball, if you pull her right leg back and push a button on her back! Pretty cool!

I decided to bring out my fake grass and it worked perfectly as a background!

World Cup Barbie finally met my Soccer MTM doll. They look badass, don't they?

Asha Went To A Recital

So Asha went to my friend's recital. My friend did pole spin and pole dance for the show! It was a great night because not only did I enjoy my friend's performance, the other performances were amazing, too! I especially liked the aerial silk performance! Here are two photos after the show.

My friend was so nice to have this photo taken with Asha!! Asha has never tried pole dancing. She's more into yoga, but it's nice to see something new for a change, don't you think!!

Barbie Made To Move Soccer Player Doll

My old friend gave me an apology gift (lol) and when I opened the package, I saw this! A Barbie Made To Move Soccer Player doll!

This is the first time I get a face sculpt like this. Because I've been really busy, I haven't had time to play and take photos of her, out of the box. She's my second Made To Move Barbie, next to Asha, so I'm excited about what I can come up with these two.

My New Lottie Dolls, and Asha's First Concert

I finally had the time to unbox my new Lottie dolls! So excited to actually use them in doll scenes!!

Here's Muddy Puddles Lottie. I'm so happy to get her. She's one of my favourites from the line, and is very appropriate for the weather now, which is rainy!

The back of the box.

I didn't need to destroy the box to get her out of it. It was fairly easy!

Here's Lottieville Festival Lottie. I love her complexion!!! And I remember that she used to be called Branksea Festival Lottie. I wonder why her name changed.

The back of the box.

All my Lottie dolls together!! Look at how worn out my first Lottie is, hahaha!

I also got a scooter set, so that my Lotties can play with it outside!

The back of the box.

In other news, Asha and I went to a concert. This is one of those rare times that I'll post photos of myself, so brace yourself, lol.

We were VVIPs at the show! I didn't let her take a photo with the star of the show though, given the perks we had, because I was... well, shy.

Asha watching the countdown. She was a little anxious about it.

A friend took this. Look at how eager she looked to watch the concert, haha. Some of my online friends have finally met Asha and they even had their photos taken with her! It's an amazing night!

My friend shared her Weng weng alcoholic drink with Asha, to calm her down hahaha. Asha, that's too much. Don't drink everything, please!!

Here's Asha enjoying the show!

Now the bear in the photo above is Mangosteen, and Asha and Mangosteen have met before, but I forgot to take a photo! Mangosteen is so lucky to have her photo taken with that guy right there! Maybe Asha will have her own moment next time!

We also didn't make it to the yoga studio anymore because I was so busy. Look forward to Chapter 2, Asha, OK???

By the way, an old friend even came to the show and gave me a gift: a Made to Move Soccer Barbie, omg!!! I will post photos of her soon!

Rehearsal and New Dolls

Sorry, I haven't been around here for such a long time, but it's been a busy month. Anyway,

Asha's been to a private rehearsal, but not to yoga class. She was quite overwhelmed in the photo because she was called "the famous Barbie" by this guy in the photo.

Perhaps she can make it tomorrow, Thursday, at the yoga studio. We'll see.

And...

My free samples from Lottie dolls are here!! I'm so excited to go back to doll photography and take photos with my first Lottie, and these two new girls. I wonder what I should call them...

Also I noticed that Branksea Festival Lottie is now Lottieville Festival Lottie. Hmm...

I'll be back, I promise!!!

Asha's Fifteen Minutes of Fame

A while back, I posted about Asha's photos of her hugging a small pillow. Well, one thing led to another, and I found myself responding to a private message from the manager of the band I like. They were asking for photos of my doll! It was so weird, surreal, but definitely cool that my two interests are colliding again.

Yesterday, two of those photos were posted on the band's Facebook page. This page has more than 19,000 followers!

I love the fact that somehow I'm spreading the love for dolls. The band's manager also messaged me about "my kids". They wanted to know how many I got. At first I didn't get this question, so I said, no kids, but later I realised that they were talking about Lottie, who has her own public photo album on my Facebook profile, and my collection. I felt a little bit stupid for not getting that right away, lol.

I've been very busy for the past week because I'm involved in promo work right now, but I know that in June, I'll be free again. I still would like to post here on my blog, and that I will do because I took photos at the mall a couple of days ago.

Here's Asha doing a mermaid pose, by the way.

I really need to make a miniature yoga mat because Asha just can't keep doing yoga without it. It just doesn't feel complete when the yoga mat is missing, but oh well...

Getting Back Into The Groove

I'm taking photos again. This is good!

Forever Red!

My growing number of Red Rangers, lol. I don't know if I want to get more. I just know that this is a cool bunch. There's Gosei Red from Goseiger, Gokai Red from Gokaiger, and two Tyranno Reds from Zyuranger!!

I recently found this Sit In Style Kira (right), and she is so lovely. She has finally met my other Kira sculpt doll, Animal Lovin Nikki. I'll keep calling Nikki as Kira, and Kira as Marina, which is the official name of Kira in Europe!

Kira and Marina

They're so cute together!!!

My Madame Alexander x McDonald's toys! The cowardly lion in the front is actually missing her original hair, so I just stringed some brown yarn together, stuck it on her head with hot glue, and combed it to make it fluffy. Her hair now is big and glorious!

My Sylvanian Family cow meets Cattleena!

I rescued another Dawn doll (left)!

Both their legs are mangled, but meh, I can deal with that.

A Frankendoll I made last night. The head is from Hookfang of How To Train Your Dragon! I found this dragon head at the thrift store and I was like, dang, this could be a doll head.

The body is the TNT body Nakoma used to own. It has a broken neck, so I figured, I'll just hack the whole neck off with a hand saw, and stick in the dragon head. It worked!

Hookfang is wearing a turtle neck, to hide the glue because the process isn't seamless anyway. This custom doll is giving me Zootopia vibes! Do you feel it?

And... I found these inflatable cup holders at SM Department Store, at the Kids Section!! I was so surprised, I had to grab two! There were more designs like different coloured donuts, pineapple, and yellow duck, but I went with these two instead.

If you remember a previous post, I also bought an Intex inflatable boat. I think I'm going float crazy, am I right? Hahaha.

Out of the plastic...

Blown up!

Lottie can sit in there, I guess, but she has her own pool floats that fit her much nicer.

Asha, trying out the donut float. The donut bite is so perfect for Asha's feet! Oh and sorry about the mess on my table. You can see Lottie in the shot, and even an Emma Bunton head and her body.

Hookfang trying out the watermelon float, for scale. Awesome? Yeah.
