Peppa-mint and Maddie

I just noticed that Shopkins Shoppies doll Peppa-mint from the Chef Club series reminds me of Ever After High's Madeline Hatter from the Sugar Coated line.

Here's Peppa-Mint (Chef Club):

Then exchange her shoes with her signature doll:

And it would resemble something similar to Madeline Hatter:

Look at their hair colour! Look at their apron! their dripping chocolate skirt with pink/white stripes! Look at their chocolate waffle shoes with a scoop of dripping ice cream on top!

If I ever find Peppa-mint at the thrift store, I'd be totally game to transplant her head to a Monster High or Ever After High body.

Christmas 2016 Shopkins Shoppies Dolls?

I just saw a photo of upcoming Shoppies dolls. I could only identify a new Jessicake doll (left), that's about it.

I'm curious about that girl on the right! Who could it be? What's her name?

/Apparently this is the Shopkins Season 6 Chef Club series.
Left to right: Jessicake, Bubbleisha, and Donatina (with short straight hair)!

Barbie Made to Move dolls in the Philippines, and Other Toy Store updates

Barbie Made to Move dolls are finally here! (There's Teresa, Barbie and Lea, but no Asha.)

I found these at SM North department store and Toy Kingdom, SM The Block. The saleslady at SM North told me they just arrived yesterday.

Sold at P999.75 each, these are more reasonably priced than what online sellers of this doll line ask for. Like, I've seen one seller sell this at P1800. RIDICULOUS!

There are other new dolls on the shelves, such as the Endless Hair line and a new line of mermaids, which have too much purple and pink going on that it makes me puke rainbows (not really haha). There are also the new Barbie entry level dolls priced at P449.75 that come in three new basic dresses, and I remember that one of them has the Lea face sculpt.

SM also has those new Barbie dolls in uniforms. Not sure if they're called Barbie I Can Be but I didn't see that tag line on the boxes.

There's even a chef and a pilot, I think. They are priced at P999.75. If you ask me, it's better to get the Made To Move doll, then look for a Barbie I Can Be career fashion pack if it's accessible. Sure, it's going to be much more expensive, but you get a posable doll instead of this stiff one.

In other news, at SM North, the Disney Descendants dolls have been reduced to one-fourth of a toy shelf. It is now displayed on a lower shelf of the My Little Pony Equestria Dolls display which kind of implies that SM is not restocking them any time soon. I wish they were on clearance if they're really going be to let go. Meanwhile, the Hasbro Disney dolls are on a roll because I saw new play sets like Elsa's canopy bed, Cinderella's vanity dresser with a dress form and extra dress, and Belle's table for tea time. The colour of Elsa's canopy bed is pretty cool because it gradually blends from blue to purple.

I didn't see the Shopkins Shoppies dolls at Toy Kingdom, but I did at Toys R Us. Maybe the Shoppies dolls are exclusive to TRU then??

Also the new Batman vs Superman dolls from Jakks Pacific came in yesterday too. I didn't manage to photograph those because my phone battery has gone low. There's Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman in different sizes. The biggest, I believe, is 19 inches. The size is a bit overwhelming, to be honest, specially when I picked up Wonderwoman to examine it, but I think I'd appreciate her more if her clothes are actually made of fabric, not sculpted, but alas, that is not the case.

Richprime And Other Toy Store Updates

Been seeing more new products from Richprime.

Made To Move Barbie:

Richprime isn't the best in describing their products so there's not much to read. I wonder if we're getting these dolls soon at the toy store. I hope so.

The photos on these two items won't load, but I'm guessing the Ever After High doll on the left would be the Holly O'Hair styling doll. Now on the right, that could be any doll. But it says a CORE rebel doll. So that could be Raven Queen.

I've seen the Shopkins Shoppies dolls in-store, well just two of them: Bubbleisha and Popette. I like Popette's design, but the doll itself, not so much because of the lack of articulation and the terrifying faceup. The doll is also way over my budget for something this small.

Their size reminds me of Strawberry Shortcake dolls, and Cocodels dolls I've seen at the toy store, too.

I've also seen some new blind bags at the toy store like Thomas and Friends and My Little Pony, but for some reason the Shopkins blind baskets are nowhere to be found? Hmm...

I can't find Sqwishland toys anymore. It looks like this:

Just when I got convinced to get a tube because I unpacked some small toys previously, Sqwishland has already been pulled out from display. Sigh.

Num Noms as doll hats

I checked out this new kind of toys from MGA Entertainment (Lalaloopsy, Bratz, Moxie Girlz, Project MC2). It's called Num Noms and they are cute, scented and stackable food toys.

Links:

For Series 1, the food items are cupcakes and ice cream.

I first heard about Num Noms on YouTube. I think they're adorable as decors.

When I saw a YouTube video review of this product, I thought to myself, do the Nums (the top part of the toy that is collectable) fit dolls as hats?

Then I saw this video:

And I found the answer:

The Nums fit Barbies. They really look adorable as character hats! The Nums are squishy and quite stretchy, but I'm not sure up to what extent. I guess they don't fit big headed dolls like Monster High and Ever After High.

Here's another video:

The author of the video didn't put the Nums on her dolls properly but I still think it fits Barbie-sized dolls like Disney.

Another video here but it's for the Shopkin Shoppies' Peppa-Mint which I blogged about earlier. Here is Peppa wearing a mint ice cream Num:

Not sure how big her head is but the Num just sits on her head.

Here's another video I found and the models are My Little Pony fashems:

Num Noms are very cute as doll beanies! I think if I were to get some, I'll get the blind box because a blind box (shaped into a yoghurt cup) comes with one Num and one Nom (the base of the toy) that is a lip gloss! Now the lip gloss is something that can appeal to an older audience, haha.

/Nums are too small for Monster High dolls:

Shopkins Shoppies dolls

I saw this doll line online a while back. It's called Shopkins Shoppies and basically these are human companions to the living shop items of the Shopkins world.

This is Bubbleisha and her outfit was designed after bubblegum.

This is Jessicake. Yup, cake.

If I have to choose among all three dolls, I'll choose this one. This is Popette and she's named and designed after popcorn. Her name reminds me of the French word for doll which is poupée.

I think this is the most adorable and interesting doll out of the bunch because her hair and her design do remind me of popcorn.

All their faces look stunned or happy, take a pick. And their bodies are not posable so that's just a bummer.

I haven't seen these in Manila at all. Perhaps it's just for US release because I only found these photos from the American Toys R Us website.

/I looked up Shoppies on Tumblr and found photos of the newest Shoppies doll which is Peppa-Mint, but her stock photo is not yet available online. She's a Season 2 doll:

There's also Donatina (named after donuts) that comes with a full play set called Donatina's Donut Delights. The doll doesn't look stunned like the rest of them. Hmm.

It's an upcoming play set so there's not much information about this either.
