More Once Upon A Zombie and Fairy Tale High Prototype Dolls

I went over to Toonstudiostore's eBay page and found more prototype dolls they've sold! All photos are owned by Toonstudio store:

A Zombie Snow Queen prototype doll! She reminds me a bit of Elsa from Frozen, but this is just a prototype anyway. It's not so bad.

A Zombie Tinkerbell prototype doll! She looks so different from the doll shown in toy fairs a few years ago and was not even released.

A Teenage Pinocchio prototype doll! Oh those shoes look great!

How I wish I could buy at least one of their prototype dolls.

Once Upon A Zombie - Zombie Pinocchio and Zombie Prince Charming Prototypes!

I was quite surprised that Once Upon Zombie sold off their prototype dolls of Zombie Pinocchio and Zombie Prince Charming on eBay for $4.99 each!

Zombie Pinocchio prototype - eBay

I think it would be great if OUAZ creates a Zombie Pinocchio doll that is in scale with the rest of the Zombie Princesses. He could be a lot shorter but still with the articulation of the other dolls.

I thought Zombie Prince Charming here was a cosplayer, omg! But it's actually a doll. His face is quite feminine, and his elbow joint looks like an action figure's. I hope they come with a better suit for him. He could be taller than the Zombie Princesses.

They also have other doll prototypes on sale, which makes me curious!

Fairy Tale High prototypes! Who would have thought they planned to make boy dolls for this line too??!

And there's this line called Pop Art Princess that I've never heard of, but it seems so interesting and very current!

I would love to adopt Captain Kitty but I don't have the money, lol!

I dug online even further and checked out trademark names filed by United Trademark Holdings, Inc.. Whether they would make toys out of these names, I have no idea, but it would be cool to see their prototypes!

More Doll Dress Up Games (with Zomby Gaga)

So I played at StarSue.net again!

I did this a while back. It's a dress up of Mira Shards from Ever After High. I made her look darker because her character is evil.

I don't know what I was thinking when I dressed up Miraculous Ladybug this way. Maybe I was projecting Jollibee onto her, lol. But I actually had a marathon of Miraculous episodes two days ago, so I thought it would be fun to make another one for Ladybug. Here is my old dress up of her.

Shoppies Poppette from Shopkins. I like her original popcorn themed outfit and didn't want to stray far away from it, so I didn't give her pants or shorts. This is all right.

Teen Tinkerbell from Fairy Tale High. I wanted her to look more rough and boyish, but those pink wings are a mistake. I couldn't get rid of them without resetting the whole look so I went with it.

Zomby Gaga from Monster High! I haven't talked about her yet on this blog, ha. Lady Gaga's doll will be available next year! I enjoyed making these the most because of the music playing in the background. It's so catchy and fun!

I don't like her hair here as much as the others because she looks like she's balding, lol.

This is my favourite look for her. I wonder if I can do something similar on an actual doll. Oh ambitions.

OMG Thrift Find: Fairy Tale High Dolls

I finally found two Fairy Tale High dolls from the thrift store recently!! It was quick for me to wash them and give them a style makeover.

Fairy Tale High dolls: Before & After

I got a handless Teen Cinderella and a Teen Tinkerbell with her hands still intact, yes!

On Teen Cinderella:
Barbie athletic jacket and shorts
Very short red shirt from a random teddy bear, I guess
Hair band I made out of decorative paper stars and a water bottle plastic ring
Daiso black socks and pearl necklace
Red clone MyScene shoes

On Teen Tinkerbell:
New Moon Sindy fatigue shirt
Takara denim skirt with lace
Green Pocahontas bag
Pink doll shoes that I won as a prize online
Plastic bow from a Barbie Swappin Styles head

Teen Cinderella's hands were made from a drink stirrer, which I've first discussed here, and similar to what I did to C.A. Cupid here.

Fairy Tale High Teen Tinkerbell
I'm pretty pleased with these two. I don't think I need more of them. I love Teen Tinkerbell's hair because it's so different! And I was surprised that Teen Cinderella's hair is actually manageable, though I did lose a hair plug during the hair combing stage.

I don't mind these dolls not having great articulation. I just want them to be able to stand up or sit down anyway.

Doll Dress Up Games

Doll dress up games are fun mindless games. You even have the option to play the game with background music if you like. Well, that is an option at Starsue.net. Anyway...

Once Upon A Zombie - Zombie Alice

Cutie Pops

La Dee Da - Cyanne

DC Super Hero Girls - Harley Quinn

DC Super Hero Girls - Poison Ivy

DC Super Hero Girls - Wonder Woman

DC Super Hero Girls dolls are out now in America, by the way. I'm so envious.

Fairy Tale High - Teen Cinderella

Zeenie Dollz - Kazumi

The spark on her left eye is annoying. I didn't even put that there.

Pinkie Cooper

Monster High Freak Du Chic - Jinafire Long

Monster High Brand Boo Students - Kjersti Trollson

Fairy Tale High - Teen Alice

Fairy Tale High

I read about this toy line from the Toy Box Philosopher and it made me curious.

Fairy Tale High dolls are dolls based on storybooks but are dressed up in modern day clothing supposedly appropriate for high school. To me it's definitely a parody and a total ripoff of the Disney princesses, which is a big demerit (heh) for this line.

Here is an early version of this doll line. It was called Fairy Tale Academy back then.

Teen Cinderella's and Teen Sleeping Beauty's outfits look very similar, down to the head phones. Teen Rapunzel looks like she's about to ride horses. Teen Tinker Bell dresses like a toddler. Teen Alice is gym ready and Teen Little Mermaid's outfit is too shiny for school, I believe.

Here is the next doll art for this line, but it had been named to Fairy Tale High, which is quite similar to the doll line names Monster High and Ever After High.

I think Teen Alice's clothes and look is the most school appropriate, while Teen Snow White's and Teen Cinderella's are true to the colours used by the Disney princesses. Teen Belle's outfit is still a mess for me, and Teen Little Mermaid and Teen Rapunzel don't really look like they're going to school in these coordinates. They must be playing hooky to attend a party, perhaps. Fish net stockings for school? Really?

The art reminds me of Once Upon A Zombie. I mean, look at Teen Tinker Bell's face! I looked it up online and found out that this was drawn by The Toon Studio of Beverly Hills, the one that also created the OUAZ art: https://www.facebook.com/TheToonStudioBH. That explains it.

Here is the updated doll art; this time it's found on the official website: http://www.fairytalehigh.com/. There is music on auto-play. You have been warned.

Most of them look older, especially Teen Rapunzel! And I forgot to mention the drab makeup. Purple makeup on everything. Geez.

And here is all of the dolls in one photo:

OK now I see the resemblance to Winx Club dolls. I think the creator of these dolls is so confused about what identity they want their dolls to have. It's such a fusion of the most popular doll lines out there and quality has been pushed aside, unfortunately. I read reviews about the dolls. Most say the articulation is not that good. Even the hair is poorly made, even though the rooting is generous.

My first pick from this line was Teen Cinderella. Her transparent shoes!! And I thought her art was pretty cute, but the blue streaks aren't even that striking on her hair. Teen Snow White grew on me eventually after I've seen photos of her on Tumblr. Teen Alice's hair is limp. Maybe adding volume to her hair from restyling will make her look better.

Just say no to Teen Rapunzel that looks like she's about to suffocate. Yuck.

I read that this line has been discontinued and it went on clearance in stores in America for as low as $5 to $10. I'd probably get Teen Snow White if I were to pick a doll at the store, but since it's such a ripoff of the Disney princesses, why not just dress up your Disney doll in modern clothing?
