Zombie Alice Outside

I took Zombie Alice outside!

Obligatory princessy pose.

Zombie Alice: I'm not really a princess, Jamie, but OK I'll take it.

I've watched a video of a guy walking high up on a building without fear, and it bugged me. Anyway these photos of Zombie Alice not letting go from the metal beam reminds me of that.

Zombies get scared, too.

Zombie Alice: Are you crazy? I don't want to die twice!

Zombie Alice founds ants crawling on a dying tree.

These ants fascinated her.

Zombie Alice: Will ants eat me when I really die? Wait, can they possibly eat me NOW?

Zombie Alice standing on a tree that has long been chopped down but still continues to grow.

Zombie Alice: So this tree is a zombie, too?

Zombie Alice thinking of escaping. Ooooooh you don't know what's out there, Alice.

Zombie Alice: I think I do. It's a big tree.

Zombie Alice: I mean, it's huge!!

Zombie Alice: I'm correct, right?

Not really, but good try.

Toy Shelf Update

I have transported a few more dolls to my new place. The shelf is a work in progress and the positioning of the dolls is temporary as I have yet to transport ALL my dolls.

I took a photo of each part of the shelf.

Back row: Gigi, Frankie, Operetta, Spectra, Frankie, Sindy

Middle row: Cure Splash, Ladybug, Una, Ari, Cat Burglar

Front row: Dakota, Harry, Anastasia, Cure Black, Pinkie

Back row: Hunter, Creanna, "Cassie", Jasmine

Middle row: Mary-Kate, Skooter, Anna, Sloane

Front row: "Bee", Dee, Dawn, Madeline

Back row: Kitty, Honey, Hit Girl, Malucia

Front row: Clawdeen, Avery, Raven, Zombie Rapunzel

Back row: Tylie, Little Red Riding Hood, Tin Man, Baseball Girl, Takara CD-8

Front row: Cattleena, Battie, Jumping Rope Girl

And here's my updated Daruma doll collection. I now have 12 dolls! I think I'm good with this number.

Eloise and Kira

I found her at a Japanese thrift store, but I didn't get her right away when I saw her. She was in a school uniform, worn backwards, and is barefoot. I checked her dress and saw a tag.

It's an Eloise doll from Madame Alexander!

Eloise is actually a book character from American author Kay Thompson. I don't know what Eloise's story is about but judging by the way Eloise looks, I think she's a very fun and inquisitive child.

Her uniform is cute. The straps criss-cross at the back. She needs white socks and maryjanes to complete her school girl look.

I actually put her next to Lottie at one point. They could be playmates because Eloise is short like her. Eloise's huge head is kinda distracting though. :-/

Standing next to Eloise is my latest (and hopefully my last) Barbie haul, Kira, which is actually a Barbie Animal Lovin' Nikki doll. I will keep calling her Kira because it's cute. I struggled with her hair because I couldn't keep it down but I guess it's fine looking like that. Kinda wavy and volumised, and it's super soft. Also I changed her body from a TNT body to a bellybutton body. This is the only photo I have of Kira at the moment, but I'm sure she'll be fun to photograph someday.

I like Kira's face here. She has minimal makeup which I can deal with. I mean, she has pink and purple eyeshadow but it looks very faint on her eyes. Plus her lips are not that bright. And for some reason, I thought green would look good on her, so I used green hair ties for her front pony tails and a green top. Her original colour scheme was purple though.

Hope I can photograph all my Barbies in one place next time. That would be cool.

Mini Backpacks and Star Wars

One time I saw plastic sharpeners being sold at Circle C, and they were in the shape of miniature backpacks. I bought a blue one for P20.

The other day, I found the same sharpeners from a different store, but they were priced at P10, and I was like, aw man. I bought three more, plus a plush charm with a dog's face, and was only asked to pay P40. So, the plush charm wasn't P20? I just noticed the price difference when the saleslady already bagged my items. I guess that makes up for the extra P10 I paid for the first sharpener. Sigh.

Those backpacks are 1:6. I just need to glue ribbons as bag straps. And I'm thinking about the Frozen stickers on them, if I should get rid of them or leave them alone. Hmm. The plush charm is for Lottie. She can use it as a pillow.

On a different day, I saw the Shopkins blind backpacks at SM. I wonder all the time why these blind bags are out of the stock most of the time. Are they really hot items? or are they prone to being shoplifted so now they are limited? Anyway, I had points to redeem from my membership card and thought that Lottie could use those backpacks, so I got one. I like to spoil her, what can I say, heh. I don't care that much about the Shopkins themselves; the bowling pin and jelly that were hidden inside the backpacks, but at least now I know how it feels like to touch a Shopkins item. They're firmer than those Shopkins clones I've dealt with before. And I could probably use them as props for future photos. They still might become useful someday.

The Shopkins backpacks only have moulded straps at the back, so again I shall glue ribbons there as bag straps. The size is perfect for Lottie. Will take photos when I'm done.

I also thought I'd photograph what has become my accidental Star Wars bust collection. First came the R2D2 snack clip I thrifted. I was supposed to give it to an old friend because she's a Star Wars fan, but we're not friends anymore so I get to keep this, hah. Then came the Chewbacca and BB8 pencil toppers from breakfast cereals. Then I'm not sure which came next, Queen Amidala Pepsi bottle cap that I thrifted, or the C3PO pencil topper which I bought at the Toycon Launchpad this year held at UP Town Center. (/I just checked an old entry. Yes, Queen Amidala came first, then C3PO.)

I think I'm stopping at five Star Wars characters. I'll move these to my new place soon.

Out and About

New toys and stuff.

Betty Spaghetty is back.

Num Noms yogurt cups are now available too.

But they're so expensive! I still want to have at least one Num.

I forgot what these are called but they're square shaped plushies, sort of like those plush Tsum Tsums, but square, and not Disney related.

Grossery Gang. I think it's like a cross between Shopkins, The Trash Pack, The Ugglys, and Garbage Pail Kids in the 80s.

"Terror Corpse." I thought they're official Walking Dead merchandise, but nope. Just cheap zombie figures, if you're getting the pack of 3, not this boxed solo figure.

The packs of 3's. There are more than 3 zombie characters, surprisingly.

Not at the toy store, but at Mac Cosmetics. They have Barbies as part of their promotional campaign.

Even their glass windows are adorned with Barbie decals.

This is the full photo of the neon lit board they have in-store. I like the teal dress. It's so glamourous.

Barbie Spring 2016 Catalog

I requested a catalog from Mattel and it was sent to my stepmom. A couple of weeks ago, I received it.

Nice cover.

This is a Silkstone doll with a little black dress and boots. The doll is articulated.

This other Silkstone doll is pet-themed. Pink and poodle, yeah.

This Water sprite doll. Beautiful, but not for me because this is just too delicate for my taste. I like my playline dolls, thank you.

Claudette Gordon Barbie. I like her style.

Birthday or It's A Girl Barbie, whichever. And some ballet dolls.

A reproduction of the old gang as a fan club exclusive. I would like to have an Allan doll (far left).

Mutya Barbie using the old Kira face sculpt.

City Shine doll with the short hair. So chic!

And a Superstar Barbie doll in a modern body, I suppose. Her colour scheme is gold and white.
