I've Gone Back To Toys R Us

It's been a while since I've been to Toys R Us, and so when the opportunity came, I just had to go there and look around.

Twozies are finally here. They're quite expensive though. These figures remind me of Kewpie so much!

Nah I don't think I can afford buying any blind box soon.

The Ever After High shelf.

Apple White. I didn't like Apple's old face, it was so sad looking, so this reboot face is much better for me. But it's still bland, so I'm still not feeling Apple. She's just not my favourite.

Bunny is pretty cute. Her smile though is not something I prefer for her because her character is a bit shy or reserved, and I feel that her smile now doesn't reflect that.

I like Raven. She's one of my favourite characters in the series. When I first saw the promo photos of Raven's new face, I was disgusted. But it has grown on me since then. I like her face here. Even though she's expected to become evil because she's the daughter of the Evil Queen, she's good and definitely one of the nicest girls in the Ever After High campus.

OMG Venus from Gloom and Bloom is on sale for P500. I swear, this doll is the one that made me understand Monster High's appeal. The dress is so perfect and her hairstyle looks awesome with the undercut! I didn't get her though because I'm saving my money for a concert, lol.

I was thinking of getting Skelita's signature doll too because it was on sale for P500, but I didn't get her either. Look, I'm at the point where I know I should stop collecting Monster High dolls for a while because I have tons to salvage and fix, and the reboot couldn't come anymore timely.  I just feel my collecting interests have changed and I'm shifting to something else, I don't know what, but I know that Monster High is still close to my hobbyist heart, lol.

Barbie accessory packs! This is awesome!

I like this one. It's good for scenes at the beach!

5 pairs of shoes for P299.75? Not bad. That's like P60 for each pair and that's like the same price for bootleg Barbie shoes sold online, and these ones are authentic! And you don't need to pay extra for shipping. I think it's worth it.

Sushi set!

This Barbie Dreamtopia playset for Kelly! It's so cute!

I feel that Lottie can sit in there just fine. But she can't sleep in there because it's too small for her. Ah! It's so cute!

Barbie furniture sets!!!

For the beach!

For the dining room!

For lounging in the backyard, perhaps!

For the living room!

Ah!!! So so cute!

I think I've seen these Disney Descendants Jewelbilee dolls before, so they're not really new.

Ally is ok. Not my favourite.
By the way, I found a signature Ally doll for P500 but I thought hard and decided not to get her either. I have two Evies now; those should suffice as my only Descendants dolls in my collection. I know I have a small collection of Alice in Wonderland themed dolls, but I'm not feeling her doll for some reason even though I think she's adorable.

Evie! My dear Evie! She looks so sassy!

Whoa, a budget Mal doll? Non-articulated elbows but with knee joints? What...

Nah, I'm not feeling this either.

Hasbro Ariel and her stuff.

Snow White and her artsy fartsy skirt!

She looks cute from this angle.

Barbie budget doll packs. Hmm.

These are the old budget dolls. I don't know if it's really a good deal to get them.

A cutie patootie Barbie with a rainbow inspired outfit and pink sculpted hair!

Num Noms that light up!

Yeah they're expensive.

A metals die cast of the Red Ranger from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! I just examined this one because I have a small collection of Red Rangers.

Thrifted Ever After High Dolls

I went to the thrift store again and found so many Monster High and Ever After High dolls with no arms, it was so sad. I wanted to adopt them all and take care of them but of course, that's impossible.

I saw one of the werecat twins (I don't now if it's Meowlody or Pursephone), Catty Noir, Jane Boolittle, Gigi Grant, Spectra Vondergeist, and Venus McFlytrap (I think it's the Gloom and Bloom version because of the undercut). There were also a number of Draculaura, Cleo de Nile, Clawdeen Wolf, Lagoona Blue and Frankie Stein dolls, a Freak du Chic one, even.

There was a Disney Descendants Evie doll with no hands, and also an articulated Project MC2 McKeyla doll with a missing arm and no hands. I was thinking twice about getting McKeyla, but I didn't want to start another doll collection, so I put her back. And a broken Cutie Pops doll with a whole leg missing, lol. She even had her shoe on the remaining leg, and boy it was a cute shoe.

And on to the Ever After High dolls! I almost got a Poppy O'hair!! I like her character, and her hair is beautiful, but when I saw the doll, I was rather disappointed. It looks so blank. Even though she is on my wish list, I didn't get her still. I was just not convinced to get her. There was also a stained Apple White and Cerise Hood. What a waste. I don't think I could save their face because they were stained with ink!

I did get these two, though.

A Bunny Blanc Carnival Date version! She is the daughter of The White Rabbit from Wonderland. I love her hair. I gave her new hands and dressed her like this. Her head piece is from Shopkins Shoppies Jessicake. Her dress is Takara, secured at the waist with a red loom band because it was too wide for her. Her necklace is something I made out of scrap plastic, and I made her shoes, too, with hot glue and acrylic paint!

Bunny is a great addition to my accidental collection of Alice in Wonderland dolls, lol. Now I have these:
  • Zombie Alice
  • Kitty Cheshire
  • Madeline Hatter
  • Lizzie Hearts
  • White Queen
  • Bunny Blanc
And I want to customise my Monster High C.A. Cupid to become the Red Queen, hehe.

Melody Piper, daughter of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. Her hair is so beautiful, it reminds me of Storm from the X-men, haha. I actually sprayed her hair and Bunny's with Downy fabric conditioner mixed in with water before I cleaned them up with soap and water. Now her hair is really soft. I think I want to do this to my other dolls.

This wedding dress is just temporary. I don't know yet how I'd style her so it can bring out her personality. The new hands I gave her kept falling off, so I'll have to fix those. For this photo, I just hid her arms behind her skirt.

The yellow and green panels are new. I went back to Wilcon depot to get more vinyl tiles! Here's another new panel I used.

Oh Melody is beautiful!!

She seems more photogenic than Bunny.

Bunny's eyes are so wall-eyed so I had a difficult time taking her photo. I don't even like this photo because of the shadow at the back.

The Kaiyodo rabbit just has to be placed beside Bunny. They finally meet.

Also I tied a cord on push pins stuck on my desk, and made a clothesline out of it. Lottie's outfits look cute on it. And I was able to use the hangers I made out of paper clips again! These clothes should have been on a clothes rack I made almost two years ago, but it fell apart, so nope.

These two dolls are what I needed to continue working on the rest of my broken Monster High dolls.

Work!

Christmas and Stuff

I bought a Jianidi Girl Feelings doll with my card points so I didn't spend cash out of my pocket!

She was on sale at P200 and it's quite difficult to find her at stores because she was put on clearance.

My sister actually played with her when I pulled her out of the box because she likes her short hair so much.

I was a bit surprised that Jianidi's feet are not that movable even though they're articulated. But overall, Jianidi Girl Feelings is a very cute doll!

Also the other day I met with my friend and collected my dolls that she had kept for a long while.

Sorry for the mess but I was so tired when I took this photo and my bed is just disorganized. I mean, look at that yellow bath towel! Haha.

Aside from Jianidi, I got a Mattel Nakoma, and Jane (Tarzan), five broken Monster High dolls including one Frankie that needed a repaint, two Liv bodies that I already used for Nakoma and Jane, an Ever After Lizzie Hearts doll, a vintage Jasmine which I could not identify further, a veterinarian Breyer doll, a bunch of doll clothes and accessories, and a small play set that Lottie might like.

Sadly two of those Monster High dolls (Frankie from the Classroom Playset, and Spectra from Dot Dead Gorgeous) are actually duplicates in my collection, but I thought of just styling their hair differently for variety.

My stepmom also came from the States and brought home these magnets she and my brother bought in the Bahamas. I love the ship magnet!

Oh and let me talk about Lottie's outfit. The top and boots are from the Breyer doll mentioned earlier. The skirt is something I've sewn before. And the socks are from a pack of doll shoes I bought one time. Her bracelet is from a gift ribbon. I'm not sure how to call it but those things were tied to a ribbon I removed from a gift, and I thought they'd be nice as a bracelet for her. The Santa hat was thrifted and it doesn't even stay on her head, so I had to use a loom band to secure it.

Anyway, I made a diorama. Hope it's not too late!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Peppa-mint and Maddie

I just noticed that Shopkins Shoppies doll Peppa-mint from the Chef Club series reminds me of Ever After High's Madeline Hatter from the Sugar Coated line.

Here's Peppa-Mint (Chef Club):

Then exchange her shoes with her signature doll:

And it would resemble something similar to Madeline Hatter:

Look at their hair colour! Look at their apron! their dripping chocolate skirt with pink/white stripes! Look at their chocolate waffle shoes with a scoop of dripping ice cream on top!

If I ever find Peppa-mint at the thrift store, I'd be totally game to transplant her head to a Monster High or Ever After High body.
