Doll Impulsions (Part 5)

Oh my gosh, Cinderella the live action doll. This is actually cheap! I saw this post late so I wasn't able to get her.

I don't collect actual Madame Alexander dolls, but I have six Madame Alexander-McDonald's ones and find them really cute.

I would like this Holly Hobbie doll for her dress! I think Lottie might fit in this.

This is the first time I've seen this Hallmark Cards Knickerbocker Betsey Clark doll. I don't like her face that much, but Lottie won't say no to a dress like that.

A Heidi Remco Pocketbook doll. Super cute!

I'm curious about that doll in the middle, the one with dark hair and denim shorts. I wonder what doll that is.

Ah!!! This used to be one of my grail dolls, a cat burglar doll from Barbie Spy Squad. Since I made my custom cat burglar doll though, my obsession with this doll has died down a bit, but I don't mind having her.

Ooh a Wreck-it Ralph tumbler, in the shape of an arcade game machine. Its design is based on the Fix It Felix game in the movie. So cool!! It reminds me of my Pixels tumbler

Wow, Gumby and friends! I have two Gumbys, and if I ever find his friends at the thrift store, I will get them!!!

Chelsea in a Christmas tree outfit. So cute!! I want to make one for Lottie.

Oh this lovely dress, it is pastel coloured and looks really dainty. It reminded me of Licca.

Doll Impulsions (Part 1)

I really haven't been a good blogger lately, lol, mainly because I'm having difficulty transferring photos from my phone to the computer. So in the mean time, I will do a lot of writing. I still look at dolls online, and sometimes I find things I want to buy but couldn't because I just can't afford to spend at the moment. So I'm starting a series of posts called Doll Impulsions, as a way to curb my spending, hahaha!

Aah! I'm looking at that Hasbro Pocahontas doll, and that tiny Novi Stars doll with multiple arms. I don't want to buy them even though I know that Pocahontas doll is already cheap, and that Novi Stars doll is hard to come by.

This MiWorld OPI set with the tiny nail polish and stuff!! These things would look cute in a diorama, but the rest of the accessories are too tiny for 1:6 scale.

Pinkie Cooper's pet, Li'l Pinkie!! I already have one but it's missing its ears and her scarf.

I don't want to buy this doll, but oh my, look at how big Jessie's eyes are. They are looking into your soul! Haha.

This proud poodle! I like collecting pets, but she's too pricey for me.

This other dog is so cute. She even has a skirt!

This photo is from the seller I transacted with, and I purchased the tall doll from her. It's a Hi:Glamm doll and her name is Kit! I've always been curious with Hi:Glamm dolls and even Leggy dolls from the 70s, so I was glad I found one online for a cheap price.

My friend and I went to this place where there are lot of gardening stuff sold. She bought some tiny stones for her garden, and gave me a small bag of stones for free. It's gonna be perfect for my diorama making!

At My Grandmother's House

Every year, I spend my Christmas Eve at my grandmother's house. But it was only this year that I snooped around to pass time, and checked out my grandma's odd collection of toys and memorabilia.

These rubber dogs that would probably look better when cleaned.

This broken Towering Rescue LCD card game. 80's, man!!

This vintage tin car with Mickey Mouse on it.

This Rubix cube with fruits on each square.

This poor doll made in Hong Kong. I was tempted to sneak her out of the house and bring her home so that I could clean her. She has seen better days.

This other vintage doll, but I don't think it's for playing. It's meant to be a decor instead.

And these two miniature phones.

Turns out that these are Acme fridge magnets. Really cool! I wanted to touch and inspect them, but they were in a glass cabinet, and I didn't want to be obnoxious and ask my grandmother's permission to get stuff like this out of storage. She's an old woman. I don't want to give her any trouble.

Here's to hoping I'd be more active in 2018, lol!!!

Descendants, and Project MC2

I've never watched Disney's Descendants at all, but I know that the main characters of the movies are offsprings of famous Disney characters. I've become fond of Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen because she's so pretty.

One time I only had one Evie, now I have two. I've just forgotten to write an entry about the second Evie, lol.

Evie the second (left) looks prettier to me, so even if her hair is unruly, I kept it as it is. Also she came with no hands, so I just gave her plastic ones using this method. Her ballet leotard and tutu are from Ballet Barbara. Barbara has been donated for Christmas, by the way.

She's so pretty. Her face belongs to a Disney princess, I kid you not! I will fix her sometime in the future, haha.

Also, I have two Project MC2 dolls now!!! I got McKeyla (left) first. She had no hands, but like I care. Then a few months after, I got Camryn (right). She has hands, hey! Her head is a little wobbly so I had to stick some foam through her neck hole.

And decluttering update: aside from the two Licca dolls that I managed to sell, I also sold my Birthstone Barbie and Barbie book, and Eloise. I know the people I've sold these items to would love to have them. I'm just at this moment wherein I have to re-focus my hobby. I need to make more time for this blog!

No Lottie diorama for this year. I'm just not inspired to make one right now, even though my miniature Christmas tree is next to my desk, waiting to be used. I'll probably make one, but it won't make it in time for Christmas, lol. I don't care anymore. I'm not going to be punished for posting things late anyway, hahaha.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Doll Pool Party

I hosted a doll pool party not long ago, and my friend came over together with her son, and her younger sister. It was fun.

Asha striking a pose by the window.

I almost called this a 'tea tree pose', hahaha. It's simply a tree pose.

A group photo! The girls are all excited to swim! There's Ariel, Printeta (yeah, it's just a bastardisation of the Filipino word 'prinsesa', or 'princess' in English, but my friend kept calling her that and it stuck), and Fringe, and there's Asha and Lottie.

Asha and Lottie.

Fringe somewhat floating away from me, haha.

This donut pool float is really cool!!

My friend's kid with Lottie.

Asha and her sail boat float.

Ariel can't swim so she hangs on for dear life on Asha's pool float!

Lottie playing on her own.

Asha striking a few poses by the pool side.

"Look at me, no hands!!"

Lottie underwater. She really does float, haha.

I don't know if I can do something like this again. It's because I found out that said friend is leaving the country soon. It made me sad when I heard the news, but I'd rather she leave if it's going to make her and her family's life much easier. Sigh.

A Photo Dump! [Part 12]

Oh my, it's been a while since my last post. Please forgive me.

My brother sent me these photos of Monchhichis at Hong KOng. I don't collect Monchhichis, but they look cute.

Here are additional photos from the doll pool party I hosted. I haven't posted my photos yet, but they will be on my next post. These images were all taken by my friend.

Oh Asha, you're so theatrical. LOL

Ariel really can't swim, hahahaha.

The squad.

Asha, what are you doing????

Ariel on the side of the pool because she can't swim, hahahaha.

More theatrics from Asha.

I love the pool floats I got at the mall.

This is my friend's child, by the way. And I gave them a Kung Fu panda toy. He played with it in the pool.

Now here is a set of 3D puzzles that I bought at a thrift store. It was marked down really low because nobody wanted it. I did assemble the pieces but it was missing one sheet. That's all right.

I haven't taken photos of the puzzles yet because they take so much space when displayed, so I stuffed them all in a paper bag, in the mean time. I might have to fix some of the puzzles when I finally take them out of the bag.

A trip to Daiso at Fairview Terraces:

Ah, a banana rack. Perfect for making your own hanging egg chair for your dolls.

These food picks. They're so cute, they can be used as doll wands or scepters.

I believe this is a bamboo mat used for rolling your own maki, but I thought I could use something like this as a background for my doll scenes.

This pack full of cats. The paint job isn't that good, but they're still cute, and perfect for doll dioramas.

Needles of varying sizes. Perhaps this is handy for rerooting. I don't like rerooting though. It takes so much time.

Window stick memo. I thought these are cute and can be used for doll diorama, but they're flat. This gave me an idea, I can make window treatments on their own, then I can just stick them temporarily to a panel whenever I need a window in the background of my diorama. That might work.

I saw this doll called Pretty Angelia at SM Department Store. Her face is from the Buni dolls I've seen before, and her body is your generic clone Barbie body. I like her hair though. It's a combination of brown and light pink hair. It's pretty cute, and looks silky.

Here's to me making more posts this month. I struggle, but I know I will be able to do it.
