It's a Rainy Morning

I suck at writing titles again, but yes that's true, it's raining, and I have to bring out a sweater from storage because of the cold.

Moving on...

I was at S&R (it's a membership shopping place) and found Kazumi from Zeenie Dollz. Whoa.

Her skin looks like porcelain! She's so pale!

Kazumi is the one I like from Zeenie Dollz. She was in my wish list.

But I'm not willing to get her at this price, P999. It's too much.

I found these generic fashion dolls with fake Barbie Made to Move outfits at a supermarket. Because of these dolls' 5 points of articulation, my fellow doll collectors dubbed her UNMADE TO MOVE. Get it? Haha.

At the book store I found this book packed with toys. So cute. I think the toy cats inside would make good doll pets.

I found this unicorn drink holder at the book store and it was so pricey. I think it was priced at P1000. NO WAY, because I could get a similar drink float at a fraction of that price!

Some of my drink floats: a unicorn, a sailboat, and an island with a palm tree.

A heart float with some decorative floral cutouts inside, a donut float, and a watermelon float.

And I found this massive gold swan drink float at a second hand store. I only paid P100 for this and it was still in the box! It can hold 4 drinks at once! Asha was quick to demonstrate how cozy it is.

And all my four Lotties can ride in it together, haha. By the way, Muddy Puddles is wearing a costume for Halloween. She dressed up as a "Rainbow Girl"! (Thanks, my brother! ;-P) And Branksea Festival is wearing a clown outfit.

I was at a toy sale in the mall this month. I had to meet someone at the nearby mall, and it turned out that they were planning to go to this sale after our meeting. I told them I was going there too, so we went together but decided to split up when we got there because there was so much to see and I wanted to look around for so long without being a drag to them.

The lines to checkout was crazy, but I was patient enough to stand in line for a couple of minutes.

I only got two items from that sale, and it was worth lining up, lol. Just a Gamora figure from Guardians of The Galaxy, which I got for P100 (SCORE!!!) and a bed rail for my niece, which was just P200. So cheap! I could have gotten the Yondu, Star-Lord and Rocket (in blue outfit) figures too, but Yondu and Star-Lord looked ugly and I already have a Rocket figure (wearing orange).

Her eyes look weird, but okaaaaaay. I didn't have the luxury to choose the figure with the best faceup, you know.

Here are my three Guardians of the Galaxy figures: Gamora, Rocket, and Groot. Groot is not in the right scale, compared to my other 2 figures, but I got Groot first and I couldn't find an affordable Groot figure in 1/6th scale either. I'm okay with the size difference, really.

I just thought I'd put Gamora and my Cat Burglar doll in one picture. Gamora can stand up on her own, while Cat Burglar needed assistance. Thanks, Gamora's left hand!

Because it's Christmas and Gamora's in green and red, I thought I'd throw in a nutcracker in the photo. Doesn't Gamora look so happy to celebrate Christmas? Hahaha. I captioned this photo at Instagram with "Grinch of The Galaxy".

Lastly, I finally caved in and bought this toy boat at Daiso. I didn't have the time anymore to make my own toy boat, but maybe in the future, I can make my own putt putt boat based on the film Ponyo!

I'm keeping these pictures for future reference!

My Cat Burglars

Finally! The original Cat Burglar from Barbie Spy Squad meets her cosplayer, hahaha!

My custom Cat Burglar looks really rough. She needs a hair restyle, a new mask and shoes. I'll get on it soon.

Richprime Kids Craze Warehouse Sale 2018

A late post, hahaha! I went to the Richprime's Kids Craze warehouse sale last April! I've never been to their warehouse sale before even though their warehouse is located in Quezon City, which is pretty accessible to me. It was only when my brother decided to go there that I asked to come along with him!

A post shared by Jamie's Toy Blog (@jamiestoyblog) on

I found my Cat Burglar doll here, by the way.

I was a little shy talking to myself here because I'm not used to filming with other people around, hahaha!

If they have another sale next year, I'll try to visit again!

I Finally Found Cat Burglar!!!

I finally have a Cat Burglar doll! I got her on sale for P300! Whew, after 2 years of waiting, hahaha.

Her head is a Skipper face mold.

I take it back, her face is not that bad, as I mentioned in my two-year old post: "kinda meh". Her eyebrows are quite high too. She looks a bit evil, which is how she's perceived to be, haha.

I'm just glad that I finally found her at a price I can afford. Next time, I'll take a photo of her next to my custom Cat Burglar doll

Doll Impulsions (Part 5)

Oh my gosh, Cinderella the live action doll. This is actually cheap! I saw this post late so I wasn't able to get her.

I don't collect actual Madame Alexander dolls, but I have six Madame Alexander-McDonald's ones and find them really cute.

I would like this Holly Hobbie doll for her dress! I think Lottie might fit in this.

This is the first time I've seen this Hallmark Cards Knickerbocker Betsey Clark doll. I don't like her face that much, but Lottie won't say no to a dress like that.

A Heidi Remco Pocketbook doll. Super cute!

I'm curious about that doll in the middle, the one with dark hair and denim shorts. I wonder what doll that is.

Ah!!! This used to be one of my grail dolls, a cat burglar doll from Barbie Spy Squad. Since I made my custom cat burglar doll though, my obsession with this doll has died down a bit, but I don't mind having her.

Ooh a Wreck-it Ralph tumbler, in the shape of an arcade game machine. Its design is based on the Fix It Felix game in the movie. So cool!! It reminds me of my Pixels tumbler

Wow, Gumby and friends! I have two Gumbys, and if I ever find his friends at the thrift store, I will get them!!!

Chelsea in a Christmas tree outfit. So cute!! I want to make one for Lottie.

Oh this lovely dress, it is pastel coloured and looks really dainty. It reminded me of Licca.

My Custom Cat Burglar doll

I can't sleep. I thought I just had to make my own version of the Barbie Spy Squad Cat Burglar doll because I don't have the original doll, haha. So this is my own cat burglar doll. Or should I say werecat burglar doll?

The doll I used has a Monster High Catrine DeMew head, and a 2009 BFC Ink body.

The blue fabric is from a stretchy pair of old leggings. The black fabric is from an old skirt. The belt is cut from a pink silicone bracelet and secured with thin wire. The necklace is made from a Monster High Clawdeen Wolf's creeperific charm and a silicone string. The mask is from the same old skirt. The boots are just fabric wrapped around the feet, from the skirt as well and secured with transparent loom bands.

It's not visible, but I recycled an old computer microphone into a doll stand. The customising took a couple of hours to do. It's not perfect, but it will do for me.

Barbie Spy Squad Cat Burglar doll

My Hit Girl sense is tingling when I saw this doll while Googling. (Well, that rhymed.) You know I love me some Hit Girl:

It's the Barbie Spy Squad Cat Burglar doll. So cute!

Upon checking online, she's actually much shorter than Barbie. She's about as tall as Skipper.

Her face is kinda meh. I wish Mattel gave her a smirk and a raised eyebrow. But her eyes look quite cat like, don't you think?

The movie Barbie Spy Squad is coming out this year on video, I think.
(Ack, it was released this month! Check out this video.)
Here's the trailer:

This is giving me a Totally Spies vibe, and there's an Easter Egg for Barbie Princess Power:

Here are screen shots of the Cat Burglar:

She can breeze through a motion sensor protected room.

She is very agile and graceful.

The cat burglar also has some attitude. Kinda like Hit Girl but not vulgar and brutal. She doesn't seem like she's carrying any weapon in her person. She's just very acrobatic, I guess.

She even has a purple motorcycle, just like Hit Girl!

Oh I don't know if we'll ever get the Spy Squad dolls in Manila this year. I hope so, so that I could see her in person. I like how she looks in photos, but just in case I don't like her when I see her up close, I just might customise a doll in her likeness. I have a Catrine deMew head. She's a werecat from Monster High, and her hair is purple and pink, which is similar to this cat burglar. Her body is BFC Ink and I know the skin tones do not match, but I don't care. The BFC Ink body is definitely shorter than Barbie, so I know I can make it work. Ah, ideas!
