Doll Impulsions (Part 5)

Oh my gosh, Cinderella the live action doll. This is actually cheap! I saw this post late so I wasn't able to get her.

I don't collect actual Madame Alexander dolls, but I have six Madame Alexander-McDonald's ones and find them really cute.

I would like this Holly Hobbie doll for her dress! I think Lottie might fit in this.

This is the first time I've seen this Hallmark Cards Knickerbocker Betsey Clark doll. I don't like her face that much, but Lottie won't say no to a dress like that.

A Heidi Remco Pocketbook doll. Super cute!

I'm curious about that doll in the middle, the one with dark hair and denim shorts. I wonder what doll that is.

Ah!!! This used to be one of my grail dolls, a cat burglar doll from Barbie Spy Squad. Since I made my custom cat burglar doll though, my obsession with this doll has died down a bit, but I don't mind having her.

Ooh a Wreck-it Ralph tumbler, in the shape of an arcade game machine. Its design is based on the Fix It Felix game in the movie. So cool!! It reminds me of my Pixels tumbler

Wow, Gumby and friends! I have two Gumbys, and if I ever find his friends at the thrift store, I will get them!!!

Chelsea in a Christmas tree outfit. So cute!! I want to make one for Lottie.

Oh this lovely dress, it is pastel coloured and looks really dainty. It reminded me of Licca.

Getting Back Into The Groove

I'm taking photos again. This is good!

Forever Red!

My growing number of Red Rangers, lol. I don't know if I want to get more. I just know that this is a cool bunch. There's Gosei Red from Goseiger, Gokai Red from Gokaiger, and two Tyranno Reds from Zyuranger!!

I recently found this Sit In Style Kira (right), and she is so lovely. She has finally met my other Kira sculpt doll, Animal Lovin Nikki. I'll keep calling Nikki as Kira, and Kira as Marina, which is the official name of Kira in Europe!

Kira and Marina

They're so cute together!!!

My Madame Alexander x McDonald's toys! The cowardly lion in the front is actually missing her original hair, so I just stringed some brown yarn together, stuck it on her head with hot glue, and combed it to make it fluffy. Her hair now is big and glorious!

My Sylvanian Family cow meets Cattleena!

I rescued another Dawn doll (left)!

Both their legs are mangled, but meh, I can deal with that.

A Frankendoll I made last night. The head is from Hookfang of How To Train Your Dragon! I found this dragon head at the thrift store and I was like, dang, this could be a doll head.

The body is the TNT body Nakoma used to own. It has a broken neck, so I figured, I'll just hack the whole neck off with a hand saw, and stick in the dragon head. It worked!

Hookfang is wearing a turtle neck, to hide the glue because the process isn't seamless anyway. This custom doll is giving me Zootopia vibes! Do you feel it?

And... I found these inflatable cup holders at SM Department Store, at the Kids Section!! I was so surprised, I had to grab two! There were more designs like different coloured donuts, pineapple, and yellow duck, but I went with these two instead.

If you remember a previous post, I also bought an Intex inflatable boat. I think I'm going float crazy, am I right? Hahaha.

Out of the plastic...

Blown up!

Lottie can sit in there, I guess, but she has her own pool floats that fit her much nicer.

Asha, trying out the donut float. The donut bite is so perfect for Asha's feet! Oh and sorry about the mess on my table. You can see Lottie in the shot, and even an Emma Bunton head and her body.

Hookfang trying out the watermelon float, for scale. Awesome? Yeah.

September Thrift Haul

I decided to come back to the thrift store today, and found these three items:

Ever After High Raven Queen Thronecoming doll, Frozen Olaf toy, and a Madame Alexander x McDonald's Wendy as The Big Bad Wolf!!

Raven, oh wow. I have a bootleg Raven. I can't wait to fix this Raven then compare it to my bootleg version. She's missing her left hand, but that's OK.

Olaf, well, I have a Elsa and Anna doll so I thought it would be fun to add Olaf to their tandem.

And The Big Bad Wolf! I've been looking for this for so long. I have Little Red Riding Hood, so I see that there would be a sweet reunion soon.

And these are the dolls I left behind.

Frozen Elsa doll with her right hand chopped off. But it lights up, and her crown is still secured to her head. I was thinking of getting her because I have a spare Elsa body, but what would I do with her after the body transplant then? I couldn't think of anything, so I left her behind.

An Irwin Sailor Moon doll! And look at all those random clothes she's wearing.

Her tiara is missing, as made obvious by the two holes on her forehead. I was supposed to get her, but I found out that she's expensive, so I let her go.

A Mattel Cinderella doll ready to go horse riding. Her legs are sculpted, even her boots. I like that her look is not as feminine as the other Cinderella dolls out there. She's just as expensive as Sailor Moon so I didn't get her either.

Eloise and Kira

I found her at a Japanese thrift store, but I didn't get her right away when I saw her. She was in a school uniform, worn backwards, and is barefoot. I checked her dress and saw a tag.

It's an Eloise doll from Madame Alexander!

Eloise is actually a book character from American author Kay Thompson. I don't know what Eloise's story is about but judging by the way Eloise looks, I think she's a very fun and inquisitive child.

Her uniform is cute. The straps criss-cross at the back. She needs white socks and maryjanes to complete her school girl look.

I actually put her next to Lottie at one point. They could be playmates because Eloise is short like her. Eloise's huge head is kinda distracting though. :-/

Standing next to Eloise is my latest (and hopefully my last) Barbie haul, Kira, which is actually a Barbie Animal Lovin' Nikki doll. I will keep calling her Kira because it's cute. I struggled with her hair because I couldn't keep it down but I guess it's fine looking like that. Kinda wavy and volumised, and it's super soft. Also I changed her body from a TNT body to a bellybutton body. This is the only photo I have of Kira at the moment, but I'm sure she'll be fun to photograph someday.

I like Kira's face here. She has minimal makeup which I can deal with. I mean, she has pink and purple eyeshadow but it looks very faint on her eyes. Plus her lips are not that bright. And for some reason, I thought green would look good on her, so I used green hair ties for her front pony tails and a green top. Her original colour scheme was purple though.

Hope I can photograph all my Barbies in one place next time. That would be cool.

Toy Con gallery

Some of the photos I took on my phone while I was at Toy Con 2015. Long overdue post, I know, but it's not like you were waiting for it anyway, LOL:

Ever After High dolls. I couldn't see Cerise clearly at the back from my view.

Are these called Fashion Royalty dolls? I just know they're from Integrity Toys but I have a difficulty figuring out the differences among their lines.

Barbie dolls in custom dresses?

There are the Cinderella dolls on top of the display case.

DC Comics dolls.

Sailor Moon figures. I couldn't get a good view of them. Stupid velvet rope.

Robots collection.

Comic book dolls. There's even a sentai doll in the middle.

Asian ball-jointed dolls. I don't know what they're called. Too pale for my taste.

Pullip and Dal dolls, I think.

Betty Boop doll from a Coca-Cola collection showcase.

Coca-Cola themed Barbie.

I don't know what kind of dolls these are. I'm guessing it's Madame Alexander.

Coca-cola diorama with a Jenny doll. But there's a miniature Pepsi bottle on her cart, haha. That Pepsi bottle is a figure from a bottle cap.

Thundercats dolls.

More Thundercats stuff.

Pretty Cure figures.

These expensive as heck dolls that are very posable.

Wow.

Then I went back to the sentai doll and took a photo of it because I want to see how the suit was made.
